I didn’t actually intend that second picture to be so poor that you couldn’t tell what was what.

I like how you squished Space Base between Leaving Earth and Food Chain Magnate… I am certain it feels a little intimidated…

I was gonna ask why you have two copies of Summoner Wars Alliance and then had second thoughts

Ha, well, allow me to share some traditional pillbox-level insanity with you.

I bought a secondhand collection of Summoner Wars Master Set. It was fairly complete up until a certain point, chronologically. The previous owner had basically given up on collecting near the end of the reinforcement deck releases. I bought it right around the time that one of the big US OGS put a bunch of SW stuff on clearance. Knowing this, I bought the SW:MS and picked up a bunch of the missing stuff. But there were about 12 products (between 2nd Summoners and the harder to find Reinforcements) that I just couldn’t track down for less than MSRP. And then I grabbed the Alliances Master Set directly from Asmodee NA when they had a big sale towards the beginning of COVID-19 lockdowns.

And then someone listed a 100% complete Summoner Wars collection for basically half of what I had already sunk into my ~80% collection. So I bought it with the intention of selling my less-than-complete collection.

And then I ended up moving and losing track of the boxes of things I wanted to sell/trade off (up until about December when I had some time to go through more boxes). SW2 had already been announced by that time and the secondhand market had tanked.

So… for now at least, I’m the proud owner of about 180% of SW1. I’m secretly hoping that SW2 does well, but not that well so that the secondhand market for SW1 rebounds a bit.

EDIT: I mean, let’s be honest here… The secondary market was in the process of tanking in the middle of all of this. I knew what I was getting into.

Is afeared

Yes. Mindclash Games, certainly, looked at Gloomhaven and said, “Hold my beer.”

GET YOUR HAND UNDER THAT TABLE!! :chess_pawn: :flying_disc: :chess_pawn: TRY TO SCORE BUT WATCH OUT FOR THE HOLE!! KLASK!!

(Sorry, someone has experienced unhealthy exposure to the horrible yelling box, and needed to share)

The worst thing about Klask is the box. Absolutely one of the cringiest games in my collection due to the box alone.

I just fell in love…

You actually have far fewer games than I expected. I know a guy with about three times as much Kallax - six high around three walls.

Oh wait, that’s half?

No, that’s the entire collection except for a few standouts:

In my home office (for a variety of reasons)

  • Aeon’s End – 3.5 waves in 2 boxes, each with significant lid lift… It’s there as I try to figure out what I want to do with the Broken Token inserts that came with the collection, and are the cause of the significant lid lift…
  • 18CZ – quasi-put away as I’ve been getting it out every couple of days to work on my solo mode variant… The tiles I leave out, sorted into jewelry display trays
  • 1817 – need to punch, organize, read the manual, etc
  • 1840 – see above
  • 1824 – see above
  • Mini Express – hasn’t made its way downstairs yet
  • Lord of the Rings: The Card Game w/expansions – probably is going to stay in my office so I can fiddle with deck construction while sitting on boring conference calls
  • Plunder - a Pirate’s Life – not sure if it’s staying in my collection yet… Should probably take the shrink off to at least inventory

And then there are probably about a dozen games in another spot that are bound for the BGG market or math trades

Still a lot of good games, and more than enough for one lifetime. Just less than I had expected.

I think our hosts on the local Guild have less on their shelves, but the have a whole Kallax with games from other members that are left there for everybody to play. You have enough there for creating a whole local group Games Nights, easy. Just need a few folding tables and garden chairs…

I also have the space for it. The table you see on the right is an English gaming table, 3ft x 5ft. There’s another space around the corner about the same size.

[sigh] COVID

You forgot to mention the east wall, constructed entirely of copies of Roads & Boats.

I know, it sucks. Brave choice of colour for the carpet, though. I know with my children, that would have been multicolour by now…

Choice, or came with the house?

That’s more open floor space than we have in our house.

Japanese houses are not famous for open space, true…

Well, I’m sure your part of the world is more exciting than mine. Cheap, big houses is all Kansas City has going for it
