Yes, yes it is. It’s called an AdvancedCut 18 (Bosch) and it runs off a rechargeable battery pack (just visible at the bottom of the shot). It is possibly the most enjoyable toy I own, even counting the 3D printer.
I showed my wife a video of it and she said “I think you ought to get one”. I knew I was right to propose.
No, but my hands are large and the gloves make them larger, so I can’t easily curl all my fingers round the handle of the saw because the flared base gets in the way. (Many other people find that it’s too big for comfort.)

The little finger also works as a measuring device that way. Like on drinking cups of tea, the minute it reaches your forehead, that’s when you have to stop

I went and picked up my new glasses today! It’s scary how much difference they make especially at a distance -.- Anyway, I took a selfie.
As an aside this will have to lead to a post in Last Bought because I took a long overdue trip to FLGS… oopsie.
