Wait, we have Poland and East Germany already at 5, I had misread it before checking on the phone, is it not worth upsetting something like Austria or Finland?
Great question.
Eastern European unrest and the pope can degrade our battlegrounds quite quickly, whereas putting 2 points in a non battleground country does not give us control of that country. It’s more about defence in Europe at this point

We could gain a couple of points from Africa scoring. And we definitely need to focus a bit in the ME or we are going to lose when our scoring card gets played.

Awesome. We could also play Flower Power to get control of Saudi Arabia and put the extra point in Algeria or something to make it harder for him to take back.
I’d recommend this and ARM treaty both, and if successful, we then play the ME scoring card. He’ll know that’s what we’re doing, though, so we’ll likely have to deal with whatever he does to counter it.
