I already have red and blue, and two promo add-on boards which I would have photographed but they’ve escaped somewhere into the games shelves. I certainly want the games themselves.
Standard to Urban Planner adds €21 for 4 epic boards, 4 additional player boards, markers, giant box and storage box. OK, I’m in for that; keeping the promos together with the games has always been hard work.
Urban Planner to Collector is €20 for 16 dice… yeah, frankly I’m probably in for that too.
I don’t need all four copies but I do want ALL THE DICES.
I have the same issue, I want all these bits. I love Railroad Ink but one of the issues I have with it is that it’s fairly straightforward to play the same way and get decent results every time. Extra dice to mix things up? Yes please. I’m in for the collector and might grab an additional set of pens in the pledge manager later…
Does feel cheeky of them to only include 2 dice per box instead of 4 with the additional dice under stretch goals. Hopefully they will get in there too. I just like custom dice…
I’ve been somewhat lukewarm on the expansions included in Red/Blue, so I’m not sure I need even more expansions, so the €20 for 16 dice is not enticing to me.
That said, I’m sure at least one of those expansions will be great, at which point I’ll just buy that one retail.
Ouch! I’ve got Red and Blue already and was planning to back for Yellow and Green at whatever the highest level all in pledge turned out to be but that’s more expensive than I was expecting. Of course that’s also more little expansions and dice than I was expecting.
Be responsible with the budget or have more fun custom dice to play with in several months time… tough call!
Yeah, I’m curious to see everything they have. I don’t expect I’ll grab Nordheim or Stygia, as those seem fairly limited (around 100 copies each?). Not to mention it would cost me more than i think I want to spend right now (still in for GoA 2).
I’m definitely picking up those dashboards though! They’re exactly what I wanted (basically the same as from Claustrophobia 1643, which work great).
Is it standard for the rewards to say “Estimated delivery: Dec 2020” but the campaign to say “Estimated delivery: March 2021”? That puts my easy Xmas presents in doubt…
Yeah the dashboards are a nice surprise and will definitely get picked up. I may grab Nordheim if I can manage one, it’s the only big box expansion I wasn’t able to find at retail. I may be picking a few other bits up as well, but we’ll see. Bloody shipping will get charged here too, so that’s another chunk of change to account for.
At that point I’d probably want it as well. I was only able to nab Khitai. I had a copy of Stygia coming, but FedEx delivered it to the wrong town, and by the time I figured it out it was sold out everywhere.
I’m still tempted but… we’ll see. I have a cart with the next two Unmatched expansions, and the big box Wildlands expansion wanting to confirm for preorder!
I don’t have a problem! YOU have a problem!!! (I’m kidding, I clearly have a problem).
I’m glad you’re still enjoying Wildlands. I so wish that one played better at 2. Unmatched is excellent, and it’s a great 2P “equivalent”, but there’s something really special in that Wildlands formula.
We actually play Wildlands at 2 almost exclusively. I was able to find a way to “cut down” the base box maps to work really well, especially with the Adventuring Party walking around (not really needed though).
I also nabbed the map pack that came with 2 2-player maps, and those are great. I’m really hoping they release another one.
I’m curious how the expansion will pan out; it’s adding coop and support for up to 6 players?? Lol. Not sure I’d ever want to play that, but you never know.
I also just have a thing for skirmish games, and probably have a few too many but…who cares?! Lol.
I would never, ever back a Kickstarter for presents for a specific occasion. Even if they supposedly will deliver before Christmas (or a birthday, or whatever), I’d estimate under 20% of Kickstarters hit those initially projected delivery dates. And sometimes they miss by years.
The Inhuman Conditions Kickstarter had this issue - they ended up sending people certificates in lieu of the game for Christmas. I got my copy last month - which isn’t unusual in terms of Kickstarter delays.
Oh I appreciate that, having had a couple of Kickstarters just go AWOL in the postal system. If they happen to turn up before Xmas then great, that’s a few presents sorted. If not, they’ll be birthdays or just random gifts to people cus I’m nice like that (which I think is what I said in my original post)
I’m surprised at the box. Funny how I thought it was cool more than a year ago. Now, I just want to get rid of my games, and this one went to the sell pile immediately. Of course, you know what stopped me from selling.
It’s funny, I’m on the total opposite side of that fence. The production is a massive part of the appeal for me. That, and it basically lets you play Peter Venkman. I’m pleased to own their retail production of Secret Hitler mainly because it’s so beautifully over the top, so it’s not that surprising that Inhuman Conditions has a similar materialist’s appeal. And in IC’s case, there’s a lot of roleplay involved, so having those components is pure added atmosphere, no?
