here are a few pics from the Firefly Coffin Edition Unboxing
I am still missing the shiny components… apparently those are being sent separately.
And I am daunted about learning the game…
I really want to watch the show again now.

Roger's Rules has the original all-in-one rulebook (though not with the new content, which still hasn’t been made available separately).
Be warned, people on BGG are saying that the new Alliance Cruiser resin mini is surprisingly fragile.
More like, Now I want to play the game(!)
Enjoy. It is simple enough, two actions per turn, choice between four. We played my copy between 4 a few weeks ago at a friend’s birthday and it was soo good. Plus birthday boy (he’s in his late 30s, but allow me that) won, so everyone was happy.
This is a nice interview:
However…
They will not say “I place a blue disc on space II-6”, they will say “the consul occupies Numantia”. And they will tell their games as history.
Sorry Miguel, but I’m totally placing a blue disc on space II-6 :). Or at least, I’m not remembering which one Blue is. (Numantia will be printed on the board.)
(I’ve played a lot of Tetrarchia and, unless I’m looking at the manual, my Tetrarchy very much comprises Green, Yellow, Red, and Blue.)
After going years without backing a kickstarter I git suckered in to A.I.Pokalypse
Maybe just a little stress purchase but also I’m a sucker for sci-fi, the designer is genuinely indie and they’re making the smallness of the box a selling virtue. Also it’s not too expensive, maybe a little costly with shipping but how else would I get it. Mainly though I feel I have space for more coops. I like highly competitive aggro games (Splotters, 18xx, Cube Rails, Cthulhu Wars etc) so I really like the alternate space of a relaxed coop with friends some times as an alternative. They’re being very defensive about AI assisted art which makes me a little suspicious about that but I didn’t see that end until after I’d backed so maybe I’ll just have to dissonantly cognitive my owning of it if the games ok. Not sure what I think about AI art assets yet. Not sure if or on what conditions they’re a deal breaker for me.
I was assuming that name was some kind of Pokamon tie-in.
I’m a sucker for games with a physical unique play area, and adding blooms to a plastic tree is certainly that.
Power Vacuum: the Treasonous Trick-Taking Game by Malachi Ray Rempen — Kickstarter
I can see that they spent money on production, but I still feel that it’s too expensive for a trick taking game. (And I already have loads of these games)
Space-Biff and Cole Werhle thought it was awesome. But I still am discouraged.
Theres a $5 PnP. It’s just cards. Hmmm
I did the BGG contest and got a bad smell but nothing I can specifically point to. Maybe I just find the art too cutesy.
Looks like Yokai Septet will have a crowdfunding campaign this summer. I think I will back this one, I have enjoyed my BGA plays of it.
Best team ever
A trick-taking game where the suits are visible on the backs of the cards. And there I thought that was my idea :).
Which other games do people know which use cards like this?
(I was slightly surprised at the time that I couldn’t find any existing card deck design for an otherwise standard 52-card deck with that feature. I made my own, but haven’t quite gotten as far as finalising it and having it printed).
Scharfe Schoten
I’m sure I have at least one other trick taking game with this feature
I have had the shipping notification for Tricktakers and Haggis
9 Lives does this
I backed the PnP, it’s like £3-4…
How do you go about PnPing a card game? In other words, how do you transform the PDF files into decent playing cards?
I think the magic ingredient is opaque-backed sleeves.
That would normally be true, but here the backs are important.
The magic ingredient here are cheap playing cards in the size you want. They are 65*100 mm cards but I plan on reducing them to normal size.
So it will be
Just taking my time to make sure my cuts are clean and accurate.
