On which note: @LukeTheBadger, I’ve thought about it, and I’m hereby campaigning for animal combos on the basis that (a) it’s hardly ever going to help anyone, so it doesn’t break the game; and yet (b) if that somehow turned out to be the best play then it’s a wonderful mental image to be sending in the animals on their own; (c) it really doesn’t make sense that any arbitrary pair of animals will work together, but not three or four; and last but not least, (d) it’s the A team. The A team. I mean… you have to…
I pity the fool who wouldn’t want to send in the A team while humming the theme tune.
That could probably work as a re-theme, btw. I’m not even kidding. The jesters could be a picture of a garage containing an old jeep, a pile of metal plating, and a blow torch. (My recollection being that they made an armoured car literally every episode.)
Speaking of 80s TV, yesterday I successfully MacGyvered a misbehaving smoke alarm down from a 3.8m ceiling without a ladder, using a pole for winding a skylight open or closed, a pencil eraser, one half of a Loch Ness Monster tea strainer, and some duct tape. I was quite pleased with that.
We have actually just finalised the rules for the second printing and we are going to go out of our way to specify that you can’t send in 3 Animal Companions together (although we don’t specifically reference The A Team). But Phil, I will allow you to group them together in 3s or 4s and still let you say that you won… fair?
