Right, I’m back. My first thought is to play 9♠ + A♦ for the 10 draw… but this might be a waste of the spade, which look increasingly important against the Kings’ 20 damage.

But I think the only real alternative is playing the 2♥ and I don’t think that will leave us with any way to kill this King with exact damage.

Does anyone have a strong opinion on what would be best?

I think your plan looks good. I can get the exact kill and then it’s down to what cards I draw if we survive the next King.

Okay @RogerBW , I’ll play the 9♠ + A♦ for 10 damage, 10 draw and reducing the King’s attack to 0. And just a note: you still have the 2♣ and 3♣ listed in lalunaverde’s hand in the most recent update, when I believe they were discarded to pay for damage.

Could have really done without seeing the spade.

Queen and 10 seem a waste, although I’m going to have to discard most of what I don’t play.

I think to discard 20, I have to play the 10, and discard the Queen and the 5? Or play the 5 and discard the 10 and the Queen.

Playing the Queen (to draw the King) only gives me 18 to discard.

I’ve messed up before, so I’ll just hold for others to chip in before committing

I don’t think it massively matters, the two options do 10 attack and lose you the queen to damage.

I believe played Spades count to reduce attack if the King’s power gets subsequently Jestered, so the 10 of Spades might be better?
