Considering that I can’t kill it. What are you keen on doing, @Assussanni ? Queen?
If I’m in a position to kill with exact damage then I will. Then I guess either Q♦ or 10♣ since I think we’ll want to kill the Q♠ asap… although I’m not sure how we would deal with K♠ if it is the first of the Kings.
I can’t see much in the way of alternatives though. Perhaps 3♣ into 9♠ to give people a chance to discard some cards to damage before refilling with the Q♦? Not sure that’s a great plan.
I think the only way to get an exact kill would be an 8 and a 9.
Or a 10 (Jack or 5 of Clubs) and a 7.

Not 100% sure on terminology, but I think the sequence would be:
16 total spades reduce K’s attack to 4
16 total hearts move 16 cards from discard to tavern
16 total damage reduces K’s health to 24
you have to take 4 damage
Is that what you’re doing?

Question - is the tavern deck shuffled now we’ve added to it?
No; whenever you play hearts you shuffle the discard deck, draw (face down) the requisite number of cards from that shuffled discard, and place them underneath the tavern deck. The pre-existing tavern cards on top remain exactly as they were.
