[PbP] - Brass Lancashire: Discussion

From the latest map, I only have 10 for canals. But you’ve flipped an iron mill in Rochdale which gives me 11.

Without looking at an up to date board I don’t think that the coal mines in Oldham or Rochdale have flipped. Unless someone built in Bolton and flipped.

There are 2 industries in Rochdale now, 1 in Oldham, 3 in Manchester, 2 in Bolton.

3+4+5=12 without the coal mines.

Should be only two coal in Rochdale.

Last place. Man alive! Maybe I should try some of that strategy I heard the kids talking about?

I’m sure this is correct in TTS, but I think I still have 2 level coal mines to build, not 1.

You need a Manchester card to do that.

Sorry, I got confused looking at the action list description in the rules, not on the next page describing the building action itself.

Ok so can I do a double train line through colne without having built there yet. My plan is to build a double train through colne then build there but wasn’t sure if I’m allowed the double rail?

Yes, first link is from Burnley, where you have presence, then from Colne, that you just linked your network to.

(Also, Captbnut just made a similar move, linking Manchester to Warrington & Runcorn)

I’m afraid the coal is spirited away immediately by the coal market fairy

Darn I had been playing it as optional at the time of building in Birmingham. Another rules faux pa

Glad it’s not just me :joy:

Looks to me like you would sell all 5 iron for £9?

Yep, you’re right. I’d scrolled up to an earlier map.

@Benkyo beat me to that distant market. Fine move!

You had to pay £3 to buy an iron for the coal mine, so total spent is £11.

You got £11 selling your iron to the market, because @Chewy77 bought one in the previous turn.

@GeeBizzle Blackburn is not on your network. Also, Iron is £2 now.

Small thing, but Blackburn iron should be flipped on the map.

Cheers totally missed the colour of that train track, will have a rethink.
