I guess I want the Chiefs to win too? (Mostly to boost the local economy) But I have lots of friends and family who are Chiefs fans (and some of them were supportive of me when the Broncos won not too long ago)
(also: can’t stand Brady. Went to high school with a Patriots fan who was insufferable whenever the Pats were doing well, which was obnoxiously often. Brady’s good, but cheering for him feels like cheering for Emperor Palpatine)
For my sins, and everlasting disappointment, i am a Bengals fan, although I flirted with the Bears when NFL first came to UK. Mainly cos i liked William ‘The Fridge’ Perry , and later Mike Singletary and Walter Peyton

I have met exactly 1 other Bengals fan, a former boss of mine. His reason? He was 8 when the Bengals were founded and he thought tigers were cool.

Superbowl XXIII was the first one i watched and i thought the Bengals had the coolest kit. So i chose them. And it’s sucked ever since
I sort of support the Minnesota Vikings. I love an underdog. I have liked them since the 80s, even before NFL was a thing in Spain (mid 90s). Although I cannot stand trying to watch a full game. Give me rugby any time.
That was a hell of a game. My best friend is a Niners fan so I was cheering for the Bengals
On Saturday I saw a forecast for snow, so I thought I’d put a tarpaulin down on the bit of drive that slopes up from our house to the road.
Today the only snow to be seen there was on the tarpaulin.
(There’s a little coming down even now, but it’s melting immediately even on the cars; it was quite warm here overnight.)
I however, cannot leave the village due to the roads being sheet ice.
U.K. weather!
Hoping this week is the final cold snap of the season. It felt like the weather was doing so well at the end of last week!
We took a long walk in the snow yesterday 
although i am not in the area where there was a lot it still looks pretty. (My city is among the warmest spots in Germany all year round, we rarely get snow instead we get really really hot days in summer–Upper Rhine Valley. Lots of vinyards.) I like snow and it feels like a bit of a winter vacation that we would normally have had end of January.
Have you read October Man, from Ben Aaronovich? It diverts from his usual British Rivers of London setting and follows a parallel “Falcon” team in your region. I did enjoy it.
I haven’t. So Trier is near a totally different area of Germany that has vineyards and it’s quite a bit away from here I’ve never been to the town but neverthless I am interested. What kind of series is this?
The Rivers of London is a series where a police officer from the London Met sees a ghost and gets recruited for the “Falcon” department, dealing with the paranormal. Very entertaining, and great dry humour. I have read up to The October Man, which is the one before last in the series, and have enjoyed them fully.
Sounds like something I might enjoy… and I am finally getting back into reading. I finished a bunch of books and I am soon in need more material.
Too lazy to make a new thread is what I am they announced 3 new GWT games: Second Edition, Argentina and New Zealand. NZ has sheep on the cover. I want that one
I’m interested to see how the Argentina and NZ aim to justify having 3 overly-big boxes.
I’d be a lot happier to hear about them stacking 3 different boards into the GWT 2nd edition.

My guess: Argentina will mess around with the trail/building (big treacherous country), New Zealand will mess around with the deck building (sheep instead of cows). With Rails already messing around with the train, it would make sense.
I’m expecting something like Brass Birmingham - annoyingly close to just being an expansion, but needing too many changes to the board for that to be possible.
Still, at least they’re not kickstarters. Nothing to lose in waiting for the reviews over the coming years. I’ll see if I can wait until all are out to decide which to buy.
Got to admit, the Argentina theme excites me. Where is the train going to go? Bariloche? Salta? Mendoza? El Calafate?
They are both looking really interesting. NZ because I live there, and Argentina because of the massive cattle herding history and the sheer size of it. One to keep on the radar.
