Yes, yes. It’s so shiny 
I dreamed all night of it arriving today.
Right now I feel:
- 10 days without homemade espresso were enough for the body to reset our caffeine addiction (unlikely as we had espresso over Christmas with the family and had green tea in between)
- the coffee we have tried today is stronger than our usual
- the machine extracts more caffeine than our old one
- I tried more of the different variants the guy who installed it showed us (windows open and masks worn except when drinking)
Probably a combination of 2 and 4. In any case I am a bit “too awake” right now…
I hope I can sleep tonight.

We have switched coffee beans for the first time since new machine and it took only two attempts that were undrinkable to make an adequate espresso with what used to be our default coffee for the past 7 or 8 years.

Slightly odd request: I need a clear face-on picture of the objective card back design from Sagrada. Can anyone oblige?
I’m planning on making a sun catcher with a similar design for a friend who is a Sagrada enthusiast, but all of the pictures I’ve found online are too artfully shot to be much use!

So I’ll just post those random tidbits here afaik there is no dedicated “game talk” thread or is there?
In any case.
- Calico is getting a German edition by Ravensburger.
- Beyond the Sun reprint is coming in March and apparently it is being printed in Germany? (Yay for German publishers printing at home?)
- And I just saw a new game by IELLO announced on one of the webshops that isn’t even on BGG yet but the name warrants mention in any case “Sticky Cthulu” … wtf?
“As I have mentioned earlier, due to the worldwide crisis, air freight charges have gone through the roof. Before this, most shipments from our warehouse in the US to distributors in the EU have gone air freight and, therefore, much quicker. Now, they are going surface which is much slower. Right now, all of the orders that we sent to UK/EU-based distributors have been shipped and, presumably, have arrived. The games just arrived in Australia from what I have been told. But, demand is far outstripped the supply and we are looking at the reprint being produced in Germany sometime around the end of March. There are versions coming in multiple languages including German later in the year.”

Sure I guess. I curious whether Sticky Chameleons/Cthulu has any staying power beyond one play where everyone enjoys the novelty. Although maybe for 5 players, one night of fun for ~£18 isn’t too bad.
Oh there is another game that is based on? i had no idea… just thought it was a weird title.
Seems to be a spin off of Sticky Chameleons with the inevitable(?) re-theming as Cthulu?
Based on the description it sounds like it adds some new rules or “curses” which I guess are things like one hand behind your back etc. Gameplay looks like a fun novelty. Surprising to see that someone decided the very first theme to slap on it would be Cthulu, but hey, why not.

Sadly (but not really?), I am not. Though I was born in and have lived in the Kansas City metro area for the majority of my life.
I cheer for the Denver Broncos†, Pittsburgh Steelers† and Green Bay Packers† (in that order of preference). The Broncos and Chiefs are divisional rivals (though, in this particular division, everyone claims to be everyone else’s rival).
If I worked at a company that A) required me to go into an office and B) was headquartered in Kansas City (like was the case for last year’s Super Bowl), Friday would be a paid holiday off work.
But, instead, I work for a company headquartered in St Louis (who up until a couple of years ago, had a NFL team; but nobody in St Louis cared about the Rams, so they moved to California… St Louis is much more of a “Baseball Town”). And the bulk of the employees at the company (due to the pedigree of business that merged and were bought) are on the east coast (which is also very baseball-centric).
I am pretty miffed at the Chiefs though. My uncle was a diehard Chiefs fan for decades and during the time he (my uncle) was alive, they did absolutely nothing. He passed in 2009… and never got to see them get farther than the divisional round of the playoffs his entire adult life. 
and now they’re flirting with a Super Bowl repeat
†: all of which are represented in Football Highlights 2052, which is why I’m ambivalent if they put out more expansions for it.

The NFL became a thing over in here in about 1986 when they were last good!
The Superbowl being in a Sunday night sucks because I never think to take the Monday off work so I never watch it.
I want the Chiefs to win though.
(That said, England are about to start a test series in India which will be on free tv for the first time in 16 years. Starts at 4am!)
