I’m most curious about the bingo cards one. The game came with a pack of bingo cards, but I haven’t printed out the English rules yet so who knows how that gets integrated into a trick-taking game
The Mandalorian Adventures, heard it was good. And I did watch the show, not sure how much I remember. We like cooperative games, so it should go down well.
The nice thing about the big roborally box is that while it the box height is twice that of my Avalon Hill edition the other dimensions are about the same and I could fit all the materials of my old edition inside so I can keep the boards, the minis, cards and rulebook to mix and match materials AT WILL
The Cyclades Legendary edition I have uses very little plastic. A few baggies for the delivery of the meeples and two nice foam pieces to keep the irregular island boards in place inside the box. No minis but standees!
I am quite happy with all the boxes but haven’t had time to even learnt he rules, to to having spent all week-end nursing my cold. (Still not quite back to full power … cough cough sniff sniff)
Bit salty though. We were told it would help in a box half this size. We were told the new edition would retail in 6 individual boxes at a much higher rate.
Here I am with a standard 12x12 (for the sleevers, natch) (for Innovation) and I paid 90 for a product retailing for under 60.
You have to expect this sort of thing from crowdfunding but I really thought Asmadi would be a bit more disciplined. And this is a bit more egregious than usual.
My preorder backlog has shrunk more. We already played Mistborn. it’s incredibly rare these days that I can convince my partner to play any games at all. Playing a new game the day it arrives? Unheard of. But the combined pull of Sanderson, Star Realms and Mr Space Base was strong.
My partner has no interest in Sanderson but likes deck builders. I would love to try this but feel it would be greeted with a “why aren’t we just playing dominion”. Which to be fair is a completely reasonable challenge but completely counter intuitive to my new board game addiction.
Bought Undaunted:Stalingrad to play with my youngest (Admittedly - he is now 22…)
I have… issues… with versus games, and I’m hoping this helps me overcome them. It’s when you try a strategy and the dice are just against you permanently, and then your opponent takes advantage of that and kicks you… hard. I go all glum. Absolutely pathetic of me, I agree. So! You challenge a problem by meeting it head on. And I’m hoping that’s what Stalingrad does for me…
Incidentally - the best insert I’ve seen since Oathsworn.
