Well, in my mind there are 2 types of deck builders Dominion-likes and StarRealms-likes distinguished by fixed market vs random market. Saying “I’d rather play Dominion than other deckbuilders” is valid of course because Dominion is a very good game in what it does.
However, Mistborn is no Dominion clone but a Star Realms descendant with a random market and as such I find those play very differently.
I hope we will soon get in another play (it does seem to run a bit longer than Star Realms maybe due to a bit more complexity with the metals which is welcome in our case) and then I might give a more detailed opinion in the Recent Games thread. For now I just want to note that we enjoyed that first game.

Today was Nerdz Day at Game Nerdz. Not too much that interested me, as I truly am trying to cut back on buying new games. However, Legacy of Yu was on sale for just under $39 after shipping, and with multiple people here raving about it, I decided to take the plunge.
I passed on that one. My solo queue is long enough.
I got Marrakesh, which I’ve been watching for a long time. And Foundations of Metropolis because I’m not willing to pay for Foundations of Rome. Then Knarr, Windmill Valley, and Vale of Eternity because worth trying for ~$20.
I was very tempted by Vale of Eternity, as I remember Matt having a good review of it and I believe simfers here has said good things about it, but I have a load of unplayed games that require multiple players, so I decided to pass on it. A solo game has better odds of hitting the table.
