Last game you bought?

I can tell you what they are now.
They are the Lord of the Rings Duel game (the 7 Wonders one) and an Unlock box we didn’t have.

Damn Xmas sale! Picked up Rock Hard: 1977, which seems fun. And The Perfect Wave, which for some reason I thought was a Knizia, not sure what I was getting it mixed up with. But it seems like fun, so that’s fine.

A post-Chrimbo splurge on two solo games I’ve been considering for sometime: Clans of Caledonia and, long after a fun online game (here) of it, Star Trek: The Adventure Game. I also picked up a few more solo rpg books to try out.

My Cthulhu: Death May Die Season 3 Kickstarter pledge arrived with the KS Extras goodie box along with the original campaign’s KS Extras goodie box (mostly for the scenarios that SWVAG praised repeatedly during the coverage of the game that I recall; but also for the investigator overlay panels which look handy).

I now have Season 1, Season 3, and the KS extras from the first two campaigns. Which means I have:

  • 66 Investigators
  • 19 episodes
  • 7 elder ones

I’m still tempted to get Seasons 2 and 4; but not because I feel like I need them – I just want more of this ridiculous game.

I need to actually play more of it before considering purchasing any more of it.

Not enough! You need mooooooooooooooore!!!

Yeah, it all gets a bit much. I didn’t even back the newest, because I had just gotten the previous kickstarters, and was feeling a little overwhelmed.

Picked up a cheap copy of long shot the dice game from John Lewis. Perfect timing as I may need an 8 player game in a few days.

Got my copy of Rock Hard:1977 today, it looks so cool! The player board look like amplifiers, complete with knobs. And of course they go up to 11! I’m such a sucker for this sort of thing. The other components look great too, especially the money, which looks like it’s been around a bit (has stain, scribbles etc).

I think that is the first thing everybody checks.

I believe the official statement from Jackie Fox is “not everything in the random events happened to me personally”.

Currently on holiday in Rome. Managed to source a copy of the following which seems wildly appropriate…

The card decks being still in shrink seems something too.

With so many outgoing it seemed time to treat myself to something a bit special. And the price has worked out pretty low for what it is. Assuming all the decks are correct.

Picked up Sky Team yesterday, as it was something on my Christmas list which I didn’t get, but could use some of the money I did receive to purchase. Plus, I got it with a 10% discount and then $5 off, so it was quite a bargain!

I bought a few things because er…

Actually I’d saw that thirsty meeple got “Fiction” in stock which is like a sort of Wordle with a twist type game and it’s been hard to get for ages. Then one can never buy one game (it is, of course, stupid to pay four pounds postage on a fifteen pounds item so I was morally obligated to spend more money now)

I bought Panda Panda which looked cool.

I was um and ah ing between the two Post curious efforts “emerald whatever it was” and “threads of fate”. I think the choice is a much of muchness but I calculated it’d be easier to rationalise the cheaper one a bit more easily at a later time.

At this point I could have pulled the trigger but I wanted more. MORE! So I got “Tower Up”.

Fun stuff.

I’m very interested in what you think of Emerald Flame. We enjoyed Threads of Fate but it is madness!

Bought the tarot one and Morrison Game Factory though.

Also been on a bit of a tear - got Jagged Earth for Spirit Island and Cyclades plus Titans; both secondhand for really good prices

I blame:

  • myself because I hit the add to cart button 3 times
  • whoever posted about Splendor Duel here (it was several of you no worries)
  • SUSD / Matt for raving about LOTR Duel
  • @Captbnut for posting about Fast Sloths :stuck_out_tongue:

I would have had all these on my radar on my own.
