So, Tales of the Arabian Nights arrived yesterday, and my, is it a big box!! Cannot wait to give it a go.
So numbers are growing in my collection, and I have to start thinking of culling some games. Little project for the weekend, I guess, but my candidates are Tiny Epic Pirates and Love Letter (older version, I won the newest version on a raffle in an event last year) to start with.
You can’t let two games go without bringing at least one in right? On the heels of a couple trades this morning, I let myself scoop up an old copy of Dead Men Tell No Tales along with The Kraken expansion and pirate miniatures upgrade. I would have normally abstained from the mini pack with a game like this, but the sculpts are actually really nice and it helps bring it in line with the added plastic of the expansion.
This is getting/has received a reprint via Renegade, but they went for a larger base box in order to support all the (same) content with a comprehensive insert. A nice idea which looks to have been executed well, but I like the tiny pancake of the Minion Games original and was confident I could get it all in there without much hassle.
Lo and behold! Or, avast me hearties, or something:
That IS a very kind gift. Oop for a while (possibly indefinitely) and prices pretty high.
I’ve played it a few times with an incompetent friend who didn’t understand how to pass others’ messages along - some serious frustration! Pick your team wisely!
Dual Gauge is available as a PnP, so got that. The expansions will be also available. I’ll get them all and print the maps in one big run. In the meantime I’ll ‘manufacture’ the other parts
Picked up Good Puppers off the praise of SVWAG, Café off the praise of Rahdo, and Mini Rogue off the praise of the internet at large. Café is the game I’m most interested in as a game, but it’s hard not to be drawn in by those pups!
