Y’know, if I end up liking the game that much, I’ll buy the upgraded tokens anyway.

The quacks upgraded bits are very expensive to import to the UK!!!

Looks on Ebay

Yikes!

Coin capsules for the win :+1:

Yep! Got mine on order. You need the pieces to capsule though! :joy:

Yeah, it’s like $65 or something from BGG. Add shipping and tax to that, and it’s quiiite a bit.

Also you’d need both the base game bits AND the expansion bits to be able to play any of the expansions. Which are never in stock at the same time.

Okay, so, people who have played it: how often do players in Quacks buy ALL the green fours from the market in a game?

Approximately never, in my experience (although I’m sure it has happened somewhere)

Well then, I will dot some green felt-tip on one of the 3 white spares that come with the game and use that if it ever comes up

Gotta confess, I’m tempted by the token trays + book stands

They’re nice little trays, I bought them for Quacks, but use them for all sorts of games

My only slight concern for the 3d printed capsules is that people buy capsules/geekbits because the ink will rub off with repeated plays. How badly, I haven’t put to the test, but I’ve seen reports of people noticing a difference in the white tokens after 3 or 4 plays. These capsules don’t prevent that since the faces are ‘open’.

Not much more expensive than I’d print them for.

I bought capsules for Quacks because I prefer the tactility while rummaging in the bag… :upside_down_face: You do make a valid point though

Bought Haggis - the trick-taking game, not the Scottish cultural item obvs

I forgot if I posted this, but I bought Blood Rage + the 5th player and the Mystics of Midgard expansions

If my copy of Quacks ever runs afoul of wear and tear, I’ll probably make a replacement set of tokens using poker chips. I can reliably buy cheap poker chips that will take custom labels.

Quacks and Orleans were perhaps the only Geekbits I can justify buying. I bought the Orleans one in Essen and they are great. The only other Geekbits one I’ve bought was Seasons. But that’s because I had Seasons for 4 years now.

I’d definitely get the quacks geekbits if I saw them at a convention, or some other way to buy them at value. Lucky Americans!

Yeah, I found an eBay seller in the UK.
