Especially as we now know @Captbnut was not the imp.
because I knew there was a chance of being drunk or a poisoned. If I picked 2 new players I wouldnât have known what that information meant. By going back to the same 2 I thought I could establish whether my information was useful or not.
I took Rogerâs map at some point and added the next day or so. I didnât keep doing it because I didnât think I would have to. But here we are.
So my own theories.
@Captbnut 's wonky radar was either due to
- poison
- too much of grandmaâs incense (aka drunk)
- evil-being
@COMaestroâs scan fits with
- me or capt being evil
- poison
- I think we can rule out the drunk as far as I understand virgin rules
- being evil â I looked it up, the virgin can execute a spy.
I mean would it truly be a bad spy who died early in the game while exposing a character role and float about freely whispering with everyone without being suspected because now they are âjust a ghostâ?
@RossMâs failure to protect @Najim fits with
- evil-being
- drunk monking
- being poisoned which would require both me and pillbox to be evil players and conveniently Ross has a piece of the whispermap that supports just that claim. (see above for other possible readings of the map)
So I trusted @pillbox because we whispered at the start of the game and that kind of created a bond which I immediately severed when I learned about the meta of this game.
I didnât trust @RossM from the start. He sat across from me, he immediately divided the group in people he talked to and people he didnât talk to. He knew the meta and of course took care to whisper as little as possible and hide out in the open. Just go up in the thread to see the lenghts he went to, to avoid appearing on the whispermap.
Now I am in a bind. Who is the demon?
PS: And just for the funnsies. Hereâs my list of roles that never played a role:
- Mayor (died one the first night)
- Slayer (died without using their power)
- Monk (someone died every night)
- Soldier (someone died every night)
- Ravenkeeper (still alive)
So we were a rather effective bunchâŚ
Ok so Just for the to slightly expedite matters I reckon we can expect a sunset on or around 2021-03-30T17:30:00Z.
So hereâs my question.
Why has no one nominated anyone yet?
(I didnât have the best of days today, so any delay on my part is less strategic and more pre-occupied)
Because Iâm dead!
Just because you are dead although it prevents you nominating it doesnât prevent you encouraging others to nominate.
wooo ⌠somebody nominate âŚwoo
I nominate RossM. He escaped execution yesterday by the use of a self-nomination early in the day
Just a heads up everyone: this is likely the last day we are going to play unless the minion is executed (barring that having been @Captbnut, which I am still not ruling out). Ghosts may want to vote today (not necessarily on @RossM), or lose the opportunity.
Thank you everyone, Iâm glad we are all gathered around the clocktower again.
Thanks to @pillbox as well for the nomination. As the great sleuth Nicholas Angel once remarked, guilty people often make the first move.
Lets clear up something before we start. I didnât save myself from being lynched by nominating myself. Imagine that; âYour Honour I would like to avoid justice, as such I have arrived at court and raised charges against myself.â Itâs just plain silly.
So whatâs my defence? Well, its to explain what I think has happened so far, and who I think everyone is.
Wheels out whiteboard
So this is who I think everyone is.
How does this fit with what we know? Well, Najim is the virgin, and no one can come up with any reason why COmaestro could be the spy, so theyâre the empath.
On the first day COmaestro detected one evil neighbour, in this case, I believe captbnut (as outlined in previous posts).
Why do I think they are a spy? Lots of reasons. But look at the order of killings. The Mayor, Then the slayer, both people who provide additional ways to win for the villagers. At the same time avoiding the claimed soldier and ravenkeeper, whose death would have been detrimental. Also, Iâm still alive as a monk, whose power doesnât work. A spy would know I was drunk and not worth eating.
So lets look at the whisper map from day 1.
Flips Board
If the cap is a spy, he would have to whisper, just once to the imp to relay all useful information. But cap didnât whisper to @yashima on day one.
Lets also look at day one results from captbnut, who claimed both myself and pillbox were good. Then I started accusing him, and on day two one of me and pillbox was bad. Then as a final move as player numbers were shrinking, shifting focus to yashima, by testing them and the one person we know to be good. Itâs an absolute classic. Tell us the person who is the imp is good, and then shift suspicion onto the other players left alive. The only living player @Captbnut has not nominated is @pillbox
After this vote is concluded I will see where we are and decide about my own nomination.
Hugs!
Iâm not sure on this one.
Am I right in thinking the village team have to kill the Imp this turn to win?
Yes, if we donât execute the Imp today, Evil will win
Its actually more complicated than that.
Is it?
If Imp and 2 Villagers are alive:
- If we kill the Imp, Good wins
- If we kill a Villager, Imp kills remaining Villager tonight, Evil wins
- If we do not kill anyone, Imp kills a Villager (and I think auto wins?)
If Imp, Minion, and Villager are alive:
- If we kill Imp, Good wins
- If we kill Minion, Imp kills Villager tonight, Evil wins
- If we kill Villager, Evil wins
- If we do not kill anyone, Imp kills Villager tonight, Evil wins
But @pillbox, what if one of the villagers is a soldier?
Hmm, that does complicate it, doesnât it?
I think we need to ask @GeeBizzle
