Our family have always been fortune tellers. My earliest memory is sitting with my grandma on my third birthday and begging her to read my future. A favourite uncle had given me a silver sovereign as a present and I remember saying ā€œI’ve crossed your pa with silver, you have to tell meā€

At the age of 3 my Grandma was the most glamorous, beautiful and special woman in the world. She had huge hooped earrings and arms covered in bangles. Her reading room was full of trinkets, some collected and some given as payment. One thing out of reach of my 3 year old hands was a huge scimitar.

ā€œOk my darling Fi. Let me seeā€ I’m sure she played up for me and it was wonderful. After a few minutes of telling me about a handsome boy and all my children my Grandma looked more closely at her crystal ball…

Her face changed and the room went cold. ā€œOh my childā€ she said and pulled me into the tightest and longest hug I’d ever known. She ushered me out to my parents and soon I’d forgotten about it with the cake and presents. I went back 2 days later and noticed the scimitar was gone…

Fast forward to last week and I was at the market at the port. Amongst new tea for readings and gems and crystals was a scimitar, just like the one Grandma had. I had to have it for my reading room…

Last night there was a cry, a noise, an angry crowd. I was accused of something terrible, something awful. The skills that brought people to me were used against me as proof I was evil. As my spirit departs my body, hacked and beaten by a ravenous crowd I remember my 3rd birthday. Was this what my Grandma saw?..

The sun rises over the town but the thought of daylight provides no solace for the good townspeople. For three nights they have been terrorised by a demon and found nothing but accusations and hate.

Each day has brought with it confusion as brother turns on brother and tales of games well fought and lost are used to bring new accusations to the fore.

With the loss of @Captbnut surely now the demon will rest.

The bell tolls, as what remains of the town gather around in the town square. No one has the energy or moral reserve even to shriek anymore at the sight of @Najim dead in the town square.

Surely these are the darkest AND last of days.

Discussion is now open.

Well then.

Last night I used my monks power to protect @Najim . I told @COMaestro I would.

It didn’t work.

So.

  1. I’m poisoned.
  2. I’m drunk.
  3. I’m the Imp.

But if I was the imp, why would I have told @COMaestro who I was protecting and then eat them?

@yashima what does your power tell us this morning.

:ghost: @yashima has claimed the Soldier role. Bluffing as Undertaker to try to be a target. So she has no power that will help unravel this mess. :ghost:

Reverse psychology.

:ghost: Thanks to you b@$422s I have no information :ghost: :joy:

Can’t say I’m sorry because drunk/ poisoned was making my brain hurt

Also, it’s probably 2 evil, 1 good player now

Probably worth recapping your info now @Captbnut

As @COMaestro stated, I cannot provide new information. The Undertaker was but a bluff with information that was obvious and easy to come by. For all I know @COMaestro could have been the Undertaker himself… not likely but anyhow.

Precisely, so that nobody would suspect you?

PS: very moving @Captbnut

First night I scanned @RossM and @pillbox - no demon
Second night @RossM and @pillbox - demonic presence
Third night @yashima and @Najim demonic presence

@COMaestro your day one info?

Day one whisper map, removing all whispers between people where one of them is dead.

And yet the evil players don’t necessarily need to coordinate day 1. I always make a point in trying to establish some day-1 trust between me and some other players; it just so happens in this case it was between another player that was a low-priority target for the Imp.

Perhaps I now understand why you’ve focused so much on whisper maps as a tool to throw shade on others?

When there’s three players left and one of those players has only communicated to confirmed good players I will absolutely use them to prove that point yes.

How have we confirmed that you’ve only communicated with good players?

I could be wrong, but I think he has only whispered to me.

:ghost: Why did you do the same scan night 1 as night 2? Yes, in this instance (we will assume for the sake of argument that you are being honest with your role), it gave you new info, but would it not have been better to scan two new people, since your first night detected no Impish players? :ghost:

This is correct.

One whisper is plenty of opportunity to exchange valuable information. Including if you were only the recipient of such a whisper.

True, but I think it has generally been concluded that I am on the side of good, and I cannot be Drunk because I died when nominating the Virgin. And if I were the Spy…well, I’d have been the most bumbling, incompetent Spy ever to play this game.
