Your friendly neighborhood native Kansan here to remind you that Kansas City is (for most purposes) in Missouri, not Kansas (although the professional sports teams do keep threatening to go across the border if KCMO doesn’t give them tax breaks or new stadiums, etc…)
Sporting KC, the soccer (football) team is in Kansas (for now)

How the city of Kansas is split between two states is something quite unique. Specially the fact that Missouri has from nearly 10-11 o’clock to 6 (if it was a clock) while the actual Kansas has less than half it really blows my mind. Although I guess they did sort of the same with Berlin after WWII…
