Where on Earth are you!? Show us the sights from your part of the world

Did it spot you near a dead crow? I can’t find the original article I read, where a scientist wandered around holding a dead crow and was subsequently attacked by crows whenever the crows saw them for the next few days / weeks, but this paper claims “Crows scolded humans previously seen near a dead crow” as a highlight: Wild American crows gather around their dead to learn about danger - ScienceDirect

Hopefully it will leave you alone soon (linked paper claims the association can last up to six weeks), rather than teaching its mates to come and terrorise you.

I think it’s more likely that our asshole of a dog chased one of them, and we are now cursed unto the tenth generation.

Can I please request that you don’t tell Kate this story at any point? She’s terrified of birds as it is

…. Please let me finish my story. It was a lovely raven and we all had tea and we lived happily ever after and everyone still has all their eyes.

So the raven was saying “neverspoon?”

This is a yearly occurrence now where you live it feels like? This looks bad, so I hope you and yours are okay.

I was going to ask. (This is not in my news acquisition sphere at all except for one friend in Melbourne who mentions it occasionally.)

This is the second time in five years that water has got over the levée and into the town, and there are smaller floods occasionally. Throw in a few droughts and fires and heat-waves and I suppose it makes the place look almost exciting.

Went on a cruise to the Bahamas with my husband. Back home and already missing these views.

That looks beautiful. It’s been so long since we’ve been to these kinds of beaches…

The two of you really are ship people
So what‘s your favorite game involving ships?

Hmmm….

The first thing that came to mind for a game we love with ships is the Armada expansion for 7 Wonders. Maybe a bit of a stretch. I quite like Dead Reckoning for a pirate/merchant open world kind of game. Can’t think of any games about cruising specifically.

I stumbled upon my “I’m On A Boat” post of you two and Gwen not very long ago, when searching for something else. It seems even more suitable now :).

Been at the Wales-England border for a very pleasant few days of walking through forests and visiting medieval structures.
