They were flown over by swallows.
European or African swallows??
Mechanical ornithopters from the 1500s.
We have been watching season 2 of Umbrella Academy as well, and man, does some of it hit really close to home.
The autistic child, Harlan, is one of the best portrayals of autism I have seen in television or movies. As parents of two autistic children of our own, it both hurts, but is also refreshing to see, as all too often, any autistic person in media is portrayed as a savant.
This might be useful to people searching for obscure Netflix programmes - all the Netflix category codes. (Well, most of them, Iām sure its out of date!)
I remember watching Fruits Basket and not realizing this had happened. They just ended it.
They are finally redoing the whole thing.
Thatās how the live action of Uzumaki felt, even though the manga was finished.
We are watching Umbrella Academy season 2, without going into it for spoilers the last 2 episodes have transferred triggered me (and I donāt use that lightly, maybe more like PTSD) as a special needs parent. I am curious how certain parts are true it is to the source material, but I donāt want to accidently see spoilers.
The source material is very, very different. That character isnāt in the comics and the comics are much more gonzo overall. I would say bordering on incoherent, personally.
Finished Umbrella Academy S2. Really enjoyed it. A bit corny, but the style pulled it off. Really liked the ending! Can kinda see where theyre taking it, but plenty of scope for changes of direction.
We just finished S2 of Umbrella Academy ourselves. Really good season, just so many good bits. Aidan Gallagher, the kid who plays Five, is really an amazing actor, because he totally sells me on the idea that heās a 60+ year old man in the body of a teenager. Canāt wait for the next season.
I managed to watch Outlaw King, that I had wanted to see since it was released on Netflix. Great movie, and great approach to the story. Even Chris Pineās Scottish accent I found acceptable. Obviously it is over 20 years more modern, but Iād recommend it over Braveheart for the more accurate approach to the setting and story. My only rant would be about the typical abuse from Hollywood on cutting rope to action trebuchets and catapults.
Rope is precious!! They had trigger mechanisms!!

Late to the party but finished Hamilton on Disney Plus.
From the hype I was expecting awesomeness, but I wasnāt expecting the heart wrenching experience that was āItās Quiet Uptownā
Had a few movie nights this weekend with the family. The little ones wanted to watch The Princess Bride on Friday, and it did not take much convincing. It is such a great movie, and it brings great memories. Also, for the non-fencing aficionados, the conversation about styles during the duel between IƱigo Montoya and the Dreaded Pirate Roberts spoiler[/spoiler] is completely accurate, every name they mention is a Master with a rapier treatise, and there is even a pun included with the rocky terrain and the Bonetti style (as he was called Rocco Bonetti).
We out the little ones to bed and continued with A Star is Born, which I really enjoyed. It was an interesting take on fame and addiction, and it did not feel as long as it says on the cover.
Yesterday night we watched The Big Short. Quite infuriating at times, I think it is a great movie to understand a bit better what happened during the great economical crash of 2008.
Iāve started watching Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts on Netflix and itās really rather good! Kipo herself is an endearing character and the show blends cartoon silliness with interesting supporting characters and a plot that actually takes some rather dark turns (and with poignant subtext).
Would recommend, particularly if you liked Adventure Time or Steven Universe - Kipo is definitely cut from the same cloth as those two, though time will tell if it lives up to that rather high pedigree.
Itās distracted me from watching through season 1 of Umbrella Academy, which Iāve broadly found enjoyable but Kipo is winning that fight right now.

Currently C and I are closing in on the end of the first Season of Sense8, and Iām approaching the end of the second season of Jessica Jones. And for diversion weāre watching episodes of (the original) Maverick and (the original) The Addams Family, two really good shows from the classic three-network era. (We think Gomez and Morticia have the healthiest and most attractive marriage of any sitcom couple . . .)
Ooops!!! I kind of assumed everybody must have watched it⦠And actually, by that point in the movie he is only a Man in Black
Oh, I only meant it as a joke
I donāt think you need to worry about spoilers for a 30+ year-old film. (And I personally donāt really care about spoilers.)
And the spoiler wouldnāt affect the film one hot!
Darth Vader is Lukeās father
Pfft. You canāt just make up fake spoilers.
