The guys who have been given the experienced advice, I’d love for you to keep helping, especially with the Europe scoring card, but can we give the less experienced voices a bit of time to chip in first please?

How about headlining Defectors and then using UN intervention with Suez crisis to get some influence in Pakistan?
I am rubbish without the app, but you have two hot potatoes there on the first two cards. @Whistle_Pig plan sounds good, or get those Independent Reds to help scoring early in Europe…

Also, if the scoring is not terrible, you could open scoring Europe to focus on Asia.Or the other way around (sorry, I am struggling to see where you are better placed…)
I haven’t played the app in some time, so I just don’t remember how everything works, but do not take my lack of input for lack of interest. I am trying to follow along.

That’s the second bad hand in a row. Scrap that, it’s awful. 7 ops to play with (all the others are in suez and destal, which you don’t want to play if you can help it) is so low. At least you got the two scoring cards, so that helps ease the pain a bit.
First things first: I would headline Europe scoring. With such a lack of ops, you can’t fight Europe and Asia. And there is no way to really turn things around in Europe this turn: no events that will shift the balance in a meaningful way, indy reds does nothing atm, not enough ops to grab countries and deny him dom that way, with De Gaulle he can even grab France too.
The other headline possibility is defectors of course. It’s a strong headline! But it also denies you 2 ops you desperately need this turn and makes sure you have at least two empty turns (as in: the scoring cards). So I would rather choose the ops. Only thing I’m really worried about from the top of my mind is Red Scare/Purge, as it would decimate your hand even further. But mostly it’s used for the ops (a whopping 4), so just hope he doesn’t headline that, I guess…
My strategy would then be for this turn to fight in Asia. You have the scoring, a better position right now and might be able to score some points there if you’re lucky. He’ll probably start by couping Iran. It’s his only option besides South Africa and Israel, and he ain’t gonna coup there. Otherwise you can coup Egypt after Nasser, which he won’t want you to do. And Iran gives access to Pakistan, so safe to assume he coups there.
Grab Pakistan if he coups successfully AR1. If not, still an option. Other option is maybe get rid of the Korean War (event first, so you can always refill the lost influence if it doesn’t succeed).
And last thing as a general strategy for this turn: Holding Destal til next turn means not using UN as an event. Which means playing Suez. You could space that or you could take the bite and use the ops somewhere else. But that’s something to think about if you want to hold destal.
Long story short: ugh.

Right, I managed to look at the picture on a computer. Count me with Qwertysoldier in the opening for Europe and fighting for Asia (which will be tough as he’s got the China card). He’s going to coup you on a battlefield first, so might as well get Europe out of the way early to minimise losses for now.
And send that Destalinisation to Space as soon as you can!

I think we know Ben has that card because it goes to the other player once it’s been played, and @Captbnut doesn’t have it.
