I use Maneuvering Jets:
Before you assign hits produced by another player’s SPACE CANNON roll: Cancel 1 hit.
The other will take out the fighter.

I honestly don’t know: I don’t have the card in front of me, and that might require @Delwayne’s specific response, especially considering timing.
@COMaestro Okay, so you destroy the Fighter you brought with you. We’ll wait to see about the timing of that Action Card, and then decide on the invasion at that point.
I think the PDS gets to fire on the approaching troops as they land, FYI, but I’m not positive. But that should wait for @MIGHTYSploosh’s Action Card, if it can be played, and then you can decide if/when to invade afterwards?
Basically, we’re stuck at this point until somebody digs up the Action Card itself (Mighty, if you want to post the text here I can probably make a call on the timing and if you can do it).
Idk if you can see the pic above. Let me know.
Though it should have been announced at the activation of the system, I am okay with @MIGHTYSploosh playing Decoy Operation if he wants to, considering the timing issues of PbF.
And PDS does get to fire on landing troops as well.
Okay then! @MIGHTYSploosh plays the card.
@COMaestro has informed me they will play a Sabotage card, which cancels the Winnu Action Card.
Any other Action Cards played before the invasion?
Nope thats all i will use.
Note the terminology of the Plasma Scoring card. A Unit with Space Cannon. Therefore a PDS must be a unit. However, Rickar’s ability states “during combat”, and the space cannon step is done after the Move Ships step of a tactical action, and therefore is not “in combat” so he would not come into play.
Similarly, during an Invasion, the Space Cannon shot is step 3, while step 4 is the actual ground combat, so again, Rickar would not apply to the PDS shot.
@Marx asked for a die roll:
Okay, cool. 4 Infantry landing on the planet, and 1 PDS with Plasma Scoring firing against them.
Winnu Defense: pool 2d10: 3, 9
hitting on 6+
After which the Yssaril will gain control of the planet (exhausted, but still).
Anything else @COMaestro?
One hit, 3 Infantry land. The Spacedock and PDS are both destroyed.
That should end my turn. On to @GeeBizzle.
And please note: the Yssaril Tribes consider this action as a preemptive defense of our homeworlds, in response to an unprovoked attack, followed by a direct threat when compensation was requested. We are normally a peaceful people, but this aggression by our “neighbor” could not go unanswered.
Any objections to waiting till tomorrow to see the board state after all that defensive destruction?
I mean, there’s some optimism in there that @Delwayne will be able to update the board state by tomorrow, but I believe in them! They can do it!
Yeah, no problem if you wait.
True. There has been a fair amount of shuffling. Just want to see how peaceful @COMaestro actions have been.
I want to Thank you all for your indulgence in my delay.
Just to show you what we had. There were two large halls of gaming like this.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ew2UI4et_ArES72Q8OIhPmEF0Em3qwoj/view?usp=sharing
and there was this library that players could check out games. There were 96 of those rollers. I helped setup and had to rolls those carts in
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1k2b-3_r4dVpX6rvvKUd0AlTua6gkSi1c/view?usp=sharing
and this was just one of the Ti4 games. (6 player)
and another. (8 player)
As I was reviewing everything above step by step. I noticed this (below) and had a question.
How did the Dreadnaught move there? ie. plus 1 move, but it was 3 away? or did I miss something?
And regarding the action that was going on at Winnu…
Uh, what happened to the two Winnu Dreadnaughts there were there?
The Dreadnaught was at Kraag, the same place the Carrier was, 2 Sectors away from the Winnu homeworld.
The Winnu do not have a Dreadnaught, much less 2, at their homeworld, and haven’t since at least the start of the turn… their first turn they attacked an empty sector, their second turn they attacked Mecatol Rex, and that’s it.
… I don’t think any of the home systems have 2 Dreadnaughts? Mine has 1, and I think the Mentak have a Flagship in theirs…?
scroll up and take a look at the maps.
EDIT: Oh, I see. I think they attacked the homeworld, NOT Mecatol?
my error.
… I did? Nobody has 2 Dreadnaughts in their home system, and the map shows a Yssaril Dreadnaught and Carrier at Kraag, 2 systems away…
Maybe copy the map you’re seeing?
my error. it was not an attack at Mecatol.
