Triplanetary… play by forum

Turn 1 is complete.

@Lordof1 to play.

Did I find anything in the asteroids I am in? I guess not.

Sorry, you’ll need to remind me of things like that.

@discobot roll 2d6

:game_die: 5, 2

Nothing to find in 1140.

Thrust E and some more letters so I can post this.

t1 thrusts A
z1 thrusts B.
r1 thrusts F.

@denisbloodnok to play.

Thrust C please. Blah blah extra characters.

End of turn 2.

@Lordof1 to play.

Clarification Q: For refueling, we can pass over any base in orbit, or through Ceres at speed 1?

Thrust F do be dooooo

z1 coast
z2 Thrust E

For refuelling:

  • be in orbit of a world with gravity; or
  • be stopped on an asteroid hex

Page 8:

For asteroid bases, matching
courses requires that the ship stop in the base hex

r1 coasts.

@denisbloodnok to play.

Coast, please.

Rules say a base can refuel you if “pass through the gravity hex directly above the base’s hex side while in orbit”. Are you intentionally waiving that requirement to pass above the base?

Can one sell to Luna when in orbit? Buy prospecting supplies? (I guess “yes” since bases can eg supply explosive ordnance to ships in orbit).

(a) Sorry, no, “above the base” is still a requirement.

(b) I assume yes.

1438 is not an asteroid hex, so no prospecting. (Yes, I have hex numbers for everything; no, I don’t like plotting them on the map as it gets too busy.)

Thrust C on my turn please.

MrTim drifts.

@EyeZee to play.

Purely cosmetic, but the transports that have taken off from Luna and (in 2 of 3 cases) Mars are missing the start-of-move circles on their plots.

Also a transport has taken off from Ceres without burning fuel.

z1 coast
z2 coast & prospect the asteroids

The circle indicates that thrust has been applied. Fixed the fuel.

Asteroid prospecting for z2:

@discobot roll 2d6

(first die=6 for ore; second=1 for CT shard.)
