The resurrected miniatures painting and showing off thread

Behold - too many hours, but totally worth it!

Wow - that is truly fantastic

Playing around with skin tones and the gloopy blood effect for the evil faction. Aiming for a quicker scheme for a break after the big boy.

Very nice! That skin tone is really nice. What’s the recipe?

Also the blood. Is it Uhu and something to make it red?

Dark red base with bright red zenithal. Mix dark red and mid flesh for first highlight, mixes of mid flesh and desaturated green working towards a classic pale green zombie flesh highlight. Glaze some more saturated green in some mid tone spots. Final highlights of off white.

The blood is dirty down snot with a little blood for the blood god layered over it.

Another Hegemony model for warcrow. This gold trim is driving me mad. Not quite up to the war rig standard, but I’m happy with her considering the faster completion time.

Been a while since I posted. Been painting a bunch of commissions and didn’t take pictures of them…

These are 2 Kill Teams for the Leagues of Votann, 20 models total. I am pretty happy with the final product. Hopefully the client will be too!

He’s picking them up Saturday, so I have tomorrow to paint a few of my own models. Might try to finish the 2 Star Wars Legion Ahsoka I have.

Loving the leathers in particular

Finished up a pair of Ahsokas for Star Wars Legion.

These were for myself, hence the rough overall work. Need to be cleaner for clients.

Next up is 6 or 7 Dystopian Wars ships (for a commission again).

Those are LEGO lightsaber blades, aren’t they?

They are not, but I did try that! They’re too short for anyone but Yoda…

Compared to Ahsoka’s shoto, and…

Compared to her full sized blade.

Do Jedi in prison make lightsabre shivs?

No, but Sith probably do.

I finished up a Dystopian Wars commission.

They turned out pretty well, IMO. Client seemed happy.

Next up, a pair of Kroot Kill Teams. 24 models, hopefully finished before Xmas.

EDIT: a quick personal project before doing the next client commission:

Battletech terrain. Happy with the end result.

Finished thr next commission: a pair of Kroot Kill Teams.

There are more (24 total models) but I struggled with my camera so I won’t subject you to the rest.

I have a few weeks before the next commission, so I am hoping to finish my own Kill Team (a buddy gave me the Tempestus Aquilons for free to get me into the game) and a bunch of Jade Falcon mechs for the Battletech Aces campaign.

I think I can do all that. I think.

Richard Sharpe, 95th Rifles.

Wargames Atlantic have got a licence for Sharpe’s Rifles, which obviously started with Sharpe himself. This is a 54mm plastic figure, released with a 28mm figure on the same sprue, giving both a display and gaming miniature. Quite a bit of fun trying a larger model for a change.

Nice work with the stubble and the guy-liner! :ok_hand::+1:

Thanks very much. Far from perfect, but I’m pretty chuffed with how he ended up.

Its the bloody Frogs, sir!

(I see you’ve gone for the show Sharpe rather than the book Sharpe)
