Valid bids: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9+
hummm… we have retconned the whole turn???
…well, at this point, OK, if everyone does agree.
I’ll bid 5P
Vulcan bid 0.
Turn order card selection in progress.
Card 1: Ferengi (Canadian_Errant)
Build:
Command:
Ferengi open negotations with Romulans (@Carletto80, @Canadian_Errant)
Card 2: Federation (@RossM) but you may want to see how those negotiations go. Let me know if you’d like a map update.
Hey @carletto80, I can’t get a ship to you this turn but I can next turn if you want to exchange trade agreements
Sorry for the delay.
In this political spaceframe, the Romulan Star Empire does not think exporting our goods towards the Ferengi Alliance is in the best interest of the Romulan People …
(Can I now do my turn?)
The Federation can do their turn, in my opinion
Oh I think it would be kinder to the Klingon empire if the Federation graciously doesn’t take a turn this round, if that’s okay?
I’d say go for it, though Romulan and Ferengi can keep talking if they like.
Not sure there’s much to say! They’ve rejected the offer, though it remains on the table at their leisure
Question. I have two fleets in the same sector. How many commands do I need to have them both attack?
I think the command is ‘initiate space battle’ and then everyone who wants to join in does, so I think it’s just 1?
Edit: well here’s the opening to section 9 in the advanced rules, 'If you have ships in more than one adjacent sector (or in the same sector and adjacent sectors) you may use a command to have all the ships in the same and adjacent sectors join in the attack.’ I read that as one command for everything but you could argue it means two commands to have everyone join in (1 to start the battle and 1 more to add everyone else in). Personally I think I’ve always played it as 1 command for everyone.
Exactly why I’m asking.
Ambiguous ascendancy? Shocking!
Yes, one command to have everyone adjacent to, or in, a single sector attack the enemy ships there.
Ok Disband fleet.
Build 12 ships at my starbase. Forming into two battle groups.
Warp both battle groups one space away from Kronos. (4 commands)
Attack Kronos with both battle groups (1 more command)
I would appreciate the ferengi staying out of this, or joining me. Either is fine.
OK, so the order of decisions is:
Federation decides whether to include Ferengi ships among the targets of this attack. (Which I assume is “no”.)
Ferengi then decide whether to join the defence anyway. (They can’t join the attack.) @Canadian_Errant ?
@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Actually, cancel that, the Ferengi ship has moved out.
Federation: 12 ships in Battle Groups, reroll 1s; weapons 4+ shields 1.
Klingon: 11 ships in no special formation; weapons 4+ shields 0.
Round 1:
Federation pool 12d6: 3× 1, 2, 2× 3, 2× 4, 4× 6 for 4+
Klingon pool 11d6: 5× 1, 2× 3, 4, 3× 6 for 5+
@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Fed rerolls pool 3d6: 4, 2× 5 for 4+
