Of all the races I’ve played I like the ferengi the best!

This Ascendancy is overrated. If drinking your favourite Romulan ale from a cup made from the pelvis of your enemies is ‘uncivilised’, then perhaps we don’t wish to be civilised.

(I’ve heard of a hip flask, but making a drinking vessel from one sounds tricky.)

I’m at work (on the boat) so I don’t have my laptop or reference books available, so bear with me please if I get the order wrong,

But Am I allowed to ascendancy first? Because if so, that, using 10 production in place of 2 culture.

Put one research towards the ongoing research.

Build 7 (I believe that’s my remaining production) ships in Ferenginar and put them into a franchise fleet.

Commands:
Add one warp token to each ship currently at warp (1&2)

They’ll drop out of warp at Coridan III and Dopteria respectively (3&4)

5: send the franchise fleet to warp
6 : add a warp token to the fleet

You can ascend if you buy culture with production in the Build phase… but you currently only have 5 commands

I can’t Get Ascension then Build Starbase Then used the added command? (last two games, didn’t really use ascension/starbases, so out of practice)

Ah: I see the error- I meant to build a starbase at Ferenginar during the build phase. I had some indecisiveness about where to put it so I forgot to include it in my list apparently. But if it’s not too late, I’d like to do that.

starbases are commissioned in the command phase (at the cost of 1 command), and the new command comes exhausted

In that case, I will substitute building the Starbase for sending the Franchise fleet to warp.

OK, I think that comes out as:

Build:

  • Spend 3C + 10P on Ascendancy 1
  • 1 Research into current project
  • Use all remaining P on ships at Ferenginar, and commission Franchise Establishment Flotilla #3.

Command:

  1. add warp token to a ship
  2. dewarp it at Coridan III
  3. add warp token to a ship
  4. dewarp it at Dopteria
  5. Commission a starbase [assuming at Ferenginar].






Card 8: Klingon (@Lordof1)

Okay. Build phase: use militarised industry to build ships at Rigel, Kronos and Sigma Draconis
Build a research node at Rigel (2R, 1 P).
Colonise the Vlugta asteroid field (1 ship, 1 culture)
Build 2 production nodes at Vlugta (4P).

Command phase:
C1 - poke the neubula, onto current research if successful
C2, C3 - ship from Kronos heads into the Pulsar on the off-chance we get a research out of it (again, onto current research if successful)
C4, C5 - ship from Kronos warps to Rigel

Klingons out.
