Well that’s a pain.
Card 9: Romulan (@Carletto80)
wait again…
if I’m not wrong, the Ferengi ships are passing through Weytahn, where there is a hostile Klingon ship…
Very good point, I didn’t notice that! do you have anything you want to talk about, my impressively-lugged friends? @Canadian_Errant
Assuming we’re being retroactive, I don’t see any other Ferengi-Klingon adjacency. Best bet might be to impulse the ship out of Risa to negotiate, but that’ll still mean one of the two target planets doesn’t get orbited and one of the added warp tokens isn’t needed.
I guess we’ll wait and see what @Canadian_Errant wants to do. It won’t change my move though I don’t think.
I’m fine to go with Roger’s suggestion,
Offer the Klingons a trade deal, and assuming it’s accepted, I believe I’ll have one command left and I’ll use it to send the ship that was stopped back to warp.
I guess the ship for Dopteria is stopped?
And if I’ve miscalculated the number of commands, then the ship doesn’t go back to warp
Hmm. Sorry, Ferenghi. No deal unless you’re moving to my systems. The Klingons don’t trade for free. If you meet me at one of my home systems to set up one of your ‘franchises’, I’ll deal with you. Until then, no passage.
I can’t get to your home systems any other way, I believe.
I would be willing to send a ship to one of your systems if I can get there.
In which case, the other ship for the system can be diverted to a Klingon system instead, if that works.
OK, starting from the beginning of the Ferengi turn, you could:
- C1 impulse ship at Risa to just short of Weytahn for negotiations
- C2-C3 add 2 warp tokens to 1 ship in warp by Ferenginar
- C4 dewarp that ship at Rigel or Kronos (5 steps from Ferenginar)
- C5 commission starbase
Does that sound viable? That’s the only way I can see to get a Ferengi ship orbiting a Klingon world this turn.
That’s acceptable to us.
That works for me.
I’ll make sure a ship gets back to Risa next turn.
If I have a choice, I’d like the Ferenghi ship at Rigel please. 1P exchanged.
I’m agnostic as to where it goes, if there is a choice.
Sounds like we have a deal. Or at least a ‘commercial opportunity’.
… my turn, then?
As far as I can see everything else is sorted, it won’t affect the rest of your turn so I’d go ahead if I were you.
Are we limited on the number of ships (and control nodes)?
