Rush 'n' Crush PBF race 1

“Arm the other two devices” Yes, that was my thinking, forgot about that. But I thought you could only have 2 active at once, thanks for the punt.

I would stay on @Assussanni right shoulder if that is OK

That’s fine.

You can have all four devices armed, no problem. But you only have two activations, so you have a total of two “arm a thing” or “use a thing” actions to share among the four armable things - and you can’t move the same thing twice in the same turn.

Over to @Lordof1.

@Lordof1 asked for a die roll:
Brrrrrrmmmmmmmaccelerate to 5 (solid line to the right)
Use three turbo points to accelerate 3 further steps to the right (up to 8)

Steering test to see how many lane changes I can do: [roll3d6]

@Lordof1 asked for a die roll:
Oh oops

3d6: 6 + 6 + 1 = 13

So, up to 6 lane changes.- which is enough to get me to navigate the mines and get adjacent to @RogerBW , one space between @Chewy77 and me, with one space left to move. Activate the saw and then side ram @rogerBW by attempting to move into their space.

ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Looking a little SAW there, my friend! Hehe HEEEE

@Lordof1 asked for a die roll:
d6: 2 white dice and
d6: 2 red dice

Well that was an underwhelming ram… I’m a little unclear as to whether I move again or not, or if that ram used my last movement point?

Also… hm… did I do three activates there? Rocket booster, activate saw, then use saw? Erk. If so I’m very sorry, instead I’ll just tuck up behind @Chewy77 and be very glad he hasn’t got a flamer.

You can’t arm an equipment item and use it in the same turn (each counter can only move once per turn). So this turn you could do two of:

  • use the flamer
  • use the rocket booster
  • arm the saw
  • arm the fire extinguisher

Use the rocket booster, arm the saw, end up behind @Chewy77

If you use the rocket booster, then at the end of your movement, you choose a number of spaces 1-3 and go that many straight ahead (i.e. in your lane). And roll a heat die for each space.

Apologies, I’m talking about turbo, I had that mixed up with the rocket booster. Use 3 turbo points, no booster, which means I still have an activate left, so I’ll activate my remaining item instead, end up as above.

OK, @DJCT’s turn.

So trying to follow this apologies if I get it wrong!

I’d like to move right up to 8. Which I think means I use up 3 turbo points. If i do that and am counting correctly then I would end up with 1 space between me and Lordof’s car?

Starting where you are on speed 4, your options for getting to speed 8 are:

  • straight up (free), straight up (1 turbo point), leaving you on 8 orange (2 heat dice, each gives heat on 1-3 for spending 1 turbo)
  • up-right to 5 (free), up-right to 6 (1 tp), up to 8 (1 tp), leaving you on 8 yellow (1 heat die, each gives heat on 1-4 for spending 2 tp)
  • up-right to 5 (free), then same again to 6, 7, 8 (3 tp), leaving you on 8 blue (no heat dice)

For any of these your lane changes will be the highest of 3d6. (And if needed you can spend steering points.)

If you manage at least 5 lane changes, you can end up directly behind Lordof1.

Side bumper and rocket booster are ready to use but won’t be useful so I assume you’ll arm the other two bits of equipment.

I’ll take the middle option thanks Roger, and you are right I will arm the other two.

[Roll 3d6]

I am doing something wrong - what is the command?

You can’t edit a post to add a roll in afterwards (a “safe measure” to prevent editing dice rolls/cheating).

The “pool” command is (pool XdY), but with square brackets instead of round brackets.

The “roll” command is (roll XdY) and again, using square brackets.

Keep in mind that if you mess up one out of many rolls, you still can’t edit the post to fix it.
