Your donkey looks like it’s surfing.

6th Turn

Production

Build raft load with 1 plank 5-3 shore of hex.
Donkey 6-1 loads 2 logs
Donkey 7-2 loads one stone

Movement

Raft undocks, redocks 3-3 dragging any geese it encounters
Donkey 6-1 moves to 6-2
Donkey 7-2 moves to 6-2 and then 6-1 dragging any geese it finds to 6-1. If there are any geese on 6-1, they pick up 1.
Donkey 6-2 picks up any geese on 6-2 moves to 7-2

Building

Build a woodcutter at 3-3
Build road 6-1 to 5-2

Nope

Now that we are potentially in range of each other, I’m going to start viewing @RossM and maybe @pillbox movement before deciding my own, rather than writing a bunch of conditionals. Advantage of going last. Calling conflict to not go first might be a thing.

So, that said, I have no idea what the “dragging any geese it encounters” comments are about. You know where the geese are, they couldn’t possibly be anywhere else. I’ll reiterate that a transporter on a transporter can only be unloaded at the start of movement, so there’s no way to get my donkey to any geese on 6-1, even if I did call conflict to go first.

I was impressed by your opening RossM, all those geese for just a single turn delay on the first raft. Didn’t occur to me.

It took a lot of drawing.

I don’t think I’ve ever built the sawmill on pasture. I know late in the game it makes wonder bricks harder to build, but once I saw that you were only one turn ahead I gambled you’d use your raft for construction on its first turn.

Admittedly, the player with 6 geese and a road network looks very much like they’re in the lead.

As a solo strategy I think it’s good. Now….

Really happy with map choice: Super crunchy decisions already.

So I’m currently first on turn order as I’m furthest from the temple?

The two tracks are independent of each other. You are first (lower track), and you are furthest from the temple (top track).

Having seen RossM’s movement:

Production

Raft on 4-6 shore

Movement

Unload donkey, move to 6-1, pick up the goose left there
Raft moves to 7-2/7-3 shore, picks up the two geese there
3-6 drops stone, moves to 2-5
3-7 donkey moves to 2-6
Raft redocks at 3-6/4-5 shore, picks up 3 stone

Calling conflict for production next turn, drop back to take 1st player.

Probably call conflict in movement too, see how that shakes out.

My weekend is going to be crazy. I won’t have a chance to sit down at a computer until this evening and I’m not entirely certain I will have the energy to do that even after hosting a 5-year-old’s birthday party with 15 kids.

I’m going to set a reminder to look at this thread again in about 12 hours

Turn 8

Conflict. @pillbox then @RossM must decide whether or not to jostle for 2nd/3rd place in production. I’m going to make a guess that between the two of them, they couldn’t care less right now, and pillbox would prefer to maintain his proximity to the temple.

Next step is deciding turn order. I get first pick and choose 1st. @RossM can choose 2nd or 3rd.

Second I guess?

I see stupidly I forgot to move one of my rafts last turn

:man_facepalming:

Is there somewhere else you want it to be? Moving it might have affected my turn, but maybe not.

Production

If that log become 2 boards @RossM , I assume they will be picked up in some combination by the two donkeys. Nothing else that can be fought over around.

Calling conflict again for movement: @pillbox has first choice of whether or not to drop back from temple, then @RossM .
