What’s the minimum number of people that could be sitting at the Round Table?

The table is round, so 5 evenly spaced will have no one directly across from anyone. If those are the only two women and the seating is boy-girl, they will not be next to each other

The minimum amount of people that can sit at any table is two (as one person on its own does not make it to people) That includes the Round Table

I wouldn’t call unmarried couples “single”. The riddle doesn’t require a change in status though, so I guess I prefer the answer that they were all couples.

You see a boat filled with people. It doesn’t sink, or capsize, but when you look again there isn’t a single person on the boat. What happened?

In the middle of the group of people there was a zombie that porked his way through the lot of them, transforming them into zombies as it went. The real tragedy is the newly installed guard system which prevented people jumping off, so they were forced, screaming and helpless, to watch as their doom approached. Now the boat is full of severed feet and zombies, which won’t count as people until the Undead Integration Act finally makes it through court.

Ooh or they all ceased to exist due to an extremely unlikely set of quantum fluctuations. One of these two I’m sure.
