Some days you just gotta take a break from the internet and (lack of) news and take the fall-colored pup on a walk through the leaves to the river.
Iâd always wondered what was lurking in The Bloody Inn.
Iâm very sad that itâs become very hard to find. It has been on my wishlist for years and, unlike many entries there upon, my interest has increased over the years.
I sold mine. Before I began my mostly-solo career.
It was pretty funny⌠and I donât think I would sell it again but I donât regret it that much.
Sold mine too, didnât hate it but felt no enthusiasm for it.
Blimey, the new Root meeples are realistic
Kickstarter extras are getting a bit out of hand!
Morse realising that a detailed analysis of the curtain is long overdue.
(aka âMorse performing a forensic analysis of the curtain fibresâ, but it seemed necessary to restore the original caption!)
and keeping my chair safe while I put away Beacon Patrol:
Dadâs cat was definitely not feeling the weather last night.
âneither was I, we canceled our plans for a game-night because I was too afraid to drive half an hour during the first winterly weather occurrences and with our summer tires still on.
He loves sitting/sleeping there. Itâs actually a cat igloo, but he always climbs on top of it and squashes it down, so we long ago gave up on âresettingâ it so he could go inside it. In all the time itâs been there, though, this was the first time Iâd ever seen him just stuff his face in the curtain like that. Such a big cuddly weirdo :).
26 Hours of Hell.
Gwen got out Thursday at 8:20pm. We looked for her for hours, tried to get a little sleep, then got up Friday morning and looked for her in the rain all day. We gave up for the night and were going to again try to get a little sleep when the rotten thing showed up at the door at 10pm Friday night. Sheâs wet and smelly and I donât care because sheâs here.
Since this is the second time this year Gwen has gotten out and been gone for roughly 24 hours, my mom says Gwen is getting a GPS tracking collar or similar for Christmas.
Sounds stressful. Good that sheâs back. Does Gwen identify as a cat maybe?
One of our previous cats took to taking very long walks. It was bad enough when he was gone for a full day, but sometimes it would be five days before we saw him! The first two times he did that I was out searching and calling, day after day, and put up fliers around the neighbourhood, and was completely despairing of ever seeing him again when⌠he came home. He was bedraggled and hungry that first time, but the next time he did the same thing he arrived home looking completely fine. The third time wasnât terribly long after the second, and I had to make a mental switch and convince myself to not worry about it, because I was going to lose my mind otherwise. Iâd never had the slightest luck locating him the previous times, so for my own sake I chose to decide that he knew what he was doing, and had come home safely the previous times, and would come home safely again. Which he did.
He definitely put me through the emotional wringer, though, so I feel for you. Iâm glad Gwen is home again, and I hope she doesnât make a habit of it!
That happened to us with a previous cat. Until we found he was going to live at another house for days on end. An old lady was treating him with chicken bits etc and then when he wanted to come home, he just did!
My dad has 2 cats: brother and sister. But the brother is being fed elsewhere (my dad found out one day when the people doing it went to the vet with the cat and only THEN found out the cat had a chip but that didnât stop them from feeding the cat) and the brother is also roaming far widerâthough we have heard from other neighbors that even the sister is going all the way down the hill sometimesâŚ
The brother sometimes comes home, loudly demands food or just gobbles up ALL the dried food his sister barely touches (you can tell he was there by the amount of food splashed around the bowl). Then he plays with his sister until he has had enough and then goes back out.
Heâs getting old now (13 I think?) and more mellow: he even lets my dad brush him sometimes.
