Samsung C430w laser printer here.
Toner cartridges are charged between ourselves and Girl Guiding UK.
Replaced all the parts as they’ve worn out so it’s a bit triggers broom but been rock solid.

Brother HL-6050DN here, more than a decade old and going strong. Monochrome, prints double-sided and holds a full realm of paper.
Went ahead and bought the HL-1212W. Think I’m gonna take this as an opportunity to revamp some of the previous one-shots I’ve run so I can easily run them again. Avoid all that planning nonsense ![]()
Februar.
Not saved by a different language.
Let’s just use the correct spelling: 2.
Honestly, I got so used to the Japanese “1st month, 2nd month…” I sometimes had to think about what the English ones represented to remember the numbering: “October means eighth, but Julius and Augustus inserted themselves before it, so it’s the 10th month”
I learned it was actually that January and February used to be at the end of the year. At some point the were inserted at the beginning of the year and offset everything by 2. Allegedly, this same source claims that July used to be known as Quintilius, and August was Sextillia, before they were simply renamed in the sake of Julius and Augustus.
I did not know that, about January and February. Seems you are right!
To be fair to Julius, they did that to honour him. He didn’t have quite that big of an ego…
I’m not sure what to think about this…
I don’t know, it feels like the sort of thing I’d find on a 4th-generation photocopy stuffed into someone’s game bag. Could be fun, but probably only for experienced players.
Disappointed it’s not a combination of Crokinole and Twilight Imperium.
Also, the writer needs to learn the difference between ‘affect’ and ‘effect’.
Remembering I think it was TI2 where you could link it to a space wargame to resolve the space battles… Crokinole as the conflict resolution engine, alter initial disc supply to reflect odds…
(I’m a little punchy. Great but tiring 1 Player Guild get-together yesterday, now waiting for the administration to grind into place so that my suddenly-critically-overheating laptop can be collected tomorrow and repaired.)

I do - there’s words going on in here all the time. The person I was talking to said their thoughts are more visual than verbal, so now I’m curious.
I think I do. At least I tell my brain to “shut up” occasionally ![]()
I definitely do.
I’m always astonished when my partner tells me she’s not thinking about anything. No idea how that can be possible …
Sometimes I even have an external monologue.
I do, but most of the time I don’t.
I remember being asked a lot when I was in the UK: do you think in English or in Spanish? And I said always: Depends.
The one that I never know is if I dream in English or in Spanish… I think it depends of who appears in the dream that I am talking to.
I sometimes feel forced to break the fourth wall, on the grounds that this life has to be a drama of some kind. It’s ridiculous as a natural series of events.
