It is not Tom’s fault. And in my defense I still have a cold.
I mean, I found myself zoning out during the second half of the video. I had to rewind a few times.
And, also, that’s not Tom’s fault either; I often overwhelm myself with all of the different distractions possible when I find myself with some free time and energy.
- OLGS that do not allow me to filter for “available only” are the worst.
- How can a came called Tiletum not be a tile laying game?

No, the worst is when they advertise “Up to 80% off on all sale items!” and only 1 thing is 80% off (probably an anime themed deck box with problematic illustrations), and everything else is 10% off.
This is incredible:
So either time travel is real and I already have my package and just don’t know it, or this is going to take about a year to get here.
Or their delivery estimator is on drugs.
If you notice, nowhere does it say a year. I really feel for that parcel carrier being away from their family for the next 12 months (or 24?)
Also beer shops, especially when ~80% of their catalogue is out of stock.
I’ve got a package (a couple of books for my partner for Christmas) that went out for delivery on the 29th. It’s a company where they show you where the driver is on a map and that you’re delivery X and they’re on stop Y.
It was about an hour away when it switched to delayed and would be here by the end of the day. Then the next day.
Now I’ve received an email every morning since saying there’s a problem in my area and my parcel will be delivered the next day.
I’m reminded of this
My partner Emily is an actress but currently trying out acting characters in schools teaching historical periods to schoolkids.
This morning involved “a Victorian Christmas” and A Christmas Carol. So wholesome. Then in the afternoon it was ancient Mayan culture, and a class of over thirty children stamped their feet and chanted “Sac-Ri-Fice” as one held a heart up to heavens to win the favour of Chaac, the rain god. Um.
That sounds like a lot of fun
I shipped an order to the USA in August. A month later it still hadn’t left the UK so I sent a replacement. The replacement has been “stuck” in customs in NY since the 8th of September. The original parcel started moving again shortly after that, maybe I need to send a third to dislodge the second?
Also, I seem to have a time travelling plane:
I’ve had this happen when a friend bought something for me in the US. And the package never arrived, so she went and bought it again and send it with a more expensive service and tracking and then both packages arrived within a day of each other. Seems one was stuck in customs all this time but when the one with tracking came in they actually bothered to send it on. Grrr. My friend is the best
The US Postal Service is not a mechanical full-adder
Ordinarily I disapprove of religion in schools, but this could change my opinion.
We send a package with advent-calendars (and Christmas presents) to my in-laws every year. And every year we hope (especially for the nephews) that our package is arriving before December the 1st. Nowadays we pay some premium shipping but it had happened in the past that our package was stuck in customs for over 2 weeks.
Or just “Tuesday”.
Our older kid has a bunch of toys called “Linkimals” which when you trigger one of them, they all light up and make music and stuff. Well, he did something interesting with two of them today:
So those are the owls, but all dressed up in Mario Bros. jackets, and he even wanted gloves for them. He also wants some fake mustaches, but we don’t have any of those.
On my way back from work I heard an interesting factoid, that really shocked me. Apparently, once they get into their 30s, 90% of humans will never sprint again in their lifetime. I was trying to remember the last time I sprinted… and must have been definitely in my 20s. Not even in games of 5 a side or kickabouts on the beach I reckon I have sprinted since then…
What was your age the last time you remember sprinting?
