(For clarity: “probably end year” was intended to mean “if nothing surprising happens I won’t take another turn”. I’ll be playing in YSDC’s on-line RPG convention this afternoon so may be unavailable.)
(As before I will not end the year until everyone has rolled a d100)
So to sum it up I wasted 6 probes in fiery explosions for $12, that leaves me with $13 and nothing to show.
I think I need some retail therapy.
- 3 Atlas rockets for $12
- 1 Supplies for $1 (they keep right? That’s like army rations or Nixon Sandwiches?)
I’m done with this year.
PS: having played with Stations recently I find the types of components available… restrictive.
I believe you can’t buy supplies unless you have life support researched.
Oh, too bad. Then the $1 goes wherever leftover funds go.
Happy to borrow it for a turn and buy a juno rocket if it pleases you?
Sure, go ahead
CNES borrow $1 and build a juno.
@RossM asked for a die roll:
I’m done.
France asks for a d100: 1
@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
If nobody gets a goal, I’m done.

Right! Lots of reliable Saturn space available; slots of 5 or 20.
(What’s your prices?)
Reliable Atlas would cost you ¤10/mass. Reliable Soyuz (once someone has it) would be ¤8/mass. The one drawback to launching with me is that right now you can’t safely share with another customer (once we have reliable rendezvous you can). I think this year ¤20 gets you 4-5 mass to LEO.
@yashima gets another 3 mass to LEO free because of the minor development problems last year and for continued rendezvous testing.
CNES
Repay $1 to @yashima
Buy two atlas ($10) and launch a Juno into orbit.
Attempted rendezvous (with probe)…
Success. (Pay off success $10)
Fire juno and launch probe to lunar fly by.
Juno fires successfully, undertake lunar survey.
(Hmm an interesting result.)
Buy probe and 2 Juno’s for $4
End turn.
@yashima is up!
Thank you @RogerBW … I was going to give up on the testing and pursue another avenue.
So 3 more probes. (My thinking goes that if I send three and have a failure early in testing that needs removing I have another two components to test and hopefully complete testing that way).
So $6 for probes leaves me with $20 thanks to the mini loan to @RossM
Then do Rendezvous testing and then see how many dollars are left over.
I really need to sit down and think over my long term plans as I fear that what I planned to do isn’t going to work out at all.
