Hydroponics modules allow food to be produced anywhere (even on Earth).
At the start of the year, each hydroponics module with a healthy astronaut
present may attempt to produce one unit of food.

I’ll pay. Does that mean that the ship is nonfuntional as a whole? Or can it still be used but only using 1 Ion Thruster?
Right now there are still two separate craft, because the docking failed. One consists of a functional thruster, the other is a damaged thruster.
If a future docking succeeds, then you’ll have a single craft consisting of one functional and one damaged thruster.
