I think they are stand alone games instead of expansions, although I might be wrong.
I mean Rails. I presume they’ll bring out a new version of Rails later down the line (pun not intended), rather than combining it into the base game. After playing with the expansion, I don’t want to go back to just the base game with no options!
What are peoples’ thoughts on Bang!? (Wow, the exclamation point in the name really changes the tone of that question)
I have it. I’ve only played it once, mostly because of the strict but narrow player count of 5-7 and the iconography hurdle in the teach. These days, I would likely pull out Coup, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, Resistance, or Spyfall first, in an appropriate situation. It’s likely tied with Mascarade.
So I’m thinking of selling it, but at the same time I want to get at least one good session in to “experience” it before passing it on.
Is it worth waiting and the effort? Or is this an old game that’s just been evolved over and supplanted?
I’ve played it once or twice, also the dice version, and while there’s nothing wrong with it as such it feels a bit long for the game you get out of it. Personally I’d rather play The Resistance for pure social deduction, or Human Punishment for mixed social deduction and shooting people.
I have not played the card game, but the dice game supposedly improves it and is a good game with kids and non-gamers - we even have a meta!
But for us it just adds throw away variety to coup, werewolf etc

All of a sudden a follow-up named Interrobang?! has become a necessity in my brain.
A reskin of Inhuman Conditions, only player A is the sole survivor of the game of Bang! and player B has to work out which side they were on.
As a social deduction game, I find it awful. Shoot first and ask questions later. As a game where you just shoot your friends and have a laugh, then…
The dice game is better as it doesn’t have the fiddliness of handling cards.
Sold Spicy. I was disappointed considering how it was praised. It’s a bluffing game and it does what it does. But there are other great bluffing games out there.
Sold my copy of New York Zoo. Probably the fastest I’ve ever bought, played, and sold a game! It’s not terrible, but I already have quite a few spatial puzzle games that I like more.
That seems to be the overall impression, nothing wrong with it but nothing great either
Managed 2 more sales recently. Ausonia cane and went unplayed from KS. Backers remorse expunged with no loss fortunately.
Next up, (sorry @pillbox ) I shifted my copy of Roads & Boats. It’s a good game I just don’t want to play it. So the big box had been excommunicated
Did you sell it to him though…
I can neither confirm nor deny.
Sold Rurik Dawn of Kiev Kickstarter edition. My copy of Kemet 2 arrived. And I cannot see myself playing Rurik over Kemet or Inis.
Some X-men expansion for Marvel Legendary because it was worth a bunch.
I’ve actually just tossed/recycled most games lately. I’ve been reducing my collection big time. Probably junked 30-40 games just not worth the effort to sell.
Consider donating them to schools or charity shops, if there are any in your area.
Found a buyer for Roads & Boats 20th Anniversary edition. Not scalping price but sold it a bit higher as it is out of print again.
They also bought Chartae too
Was it @pillbox ?
Sold Rocketmen, after my play. Happy to play but wouldn’t suggest it so no place in my pile of stuff
