I got both the space with 4 numbers games from 2017 this year. Despite my euro burnout neither have been chopped. The thing that interested me was, while I think in many ways Pulsar is the better game, I find myself more drawn to Kepler due to it being unusual. Pulsar does score bonus for having a very nice enormous circular board. Kepler has better ship pieces though.

Im loving this one! I would get a copy myself but I know 2 people who own/preordered this, which is enough for me.
I still havenāt played my copy, but itās an economic game. Which is a weird one to be picked up by FFG.

Yes. The new house was just too big, so Iām trying to fill it in, room-by-room, with board games. Getting large box games like this (and Roads & Boats) is key to building a solid foundation for stacks of games.

I donāt own any of these games. I think that in some cases itās a distaste for the mechanic ābuild up a pool of dice, then lose because you rolled badlyā.

Yeah, it was only available via Amazon in the US. Dan from Kayenta games has said heās currently working out details for Europe (and possibly UK?) distribution and sounded pretty confident it was happening.

I have Empyreal as well, and I believe (but I could be wrong), that the box is basically full if you get the deluxe components, as it comes with super fancy boards for all 8 companies, that are fold out heavy cardboard. So they take up a fair amount of space on their own.
Hopefully Iāll be able to let you know one day, lol.

I had a busy night on call, so extra money and my will power was weak. I bought a box of Flesh & Blood. What a slippery slope.
Iāve played so many LCGs over the years, Iām curious about how playing a CCG feels in comparison. Iāve always been against CCGs in principle, but maybe it wonāt be so bad? The idea of not owning everything is more interesting to me now than it was 5 years ago. Treating it as a little gamble and an opportunity to try something new.
My plan is to record whatās in each pack, so I effectively have a set for 6xbooster limited format mix and match forever and ever, but maybe that will be too much hassle. Maybe Iāll number the sleeves with each pack? Weāll see!

Ha-HA! Itās here! Iāve coveted Europe Engulfed for many moons, but I waited until I found the perfect example (2nd edition, excellent condition, ALREADY stickered!) The last was a big factor; I hate stickering blocks.
I also received 15 desperately needed counter trays.

I need to find an economical place to buy counter trays. They are magical and insanely useful (I got some for free, some in a used copy of Roads & Boats, and one in my deluxe 3rd edition of Flying Colors)ā¦ but they are not $2-$5 each good.

I hear you, but I really need them. At least these DVG trays are nearly 7/8" deep instead of the standard 3/8", and I got a small Black Friday discount on them.

I visited FLGS today in celebration of November being overā¦
I went in with the intent to buy at least one game. Spent about 45 minutes in there (masked with one of the good masks that I usually reserve for doctorās appointments because that shop is not spacious). First 20 minutes was me recommending (Rosenberg) games to one of the guys and then 20 minutes me grilling the other guy about all the new releases. He says either Beez, Sagani or MicroCity something management are his top candidates for next Spiel des Jahresā¦ then I got explanations for Troyes Dice and Rajas of the Ganges Dice which both sounded quite tempting and may yet make it into my collection. They had a huge stack of Isle of Cats but I think my mind is made up to wait for Calico.
After all that, I took 5 minutes to decide which game to buy that I was going to buy anyway (considering they are usually 10% above market priceā¦) and went home with Faiyum
