Last game you bought?

That happened when I did a Leaving Earth bulk order and some of the orderers insisted on Hermes. About a 1/6 parcel loss rate. To be fair, no trouble with refunds; it’s obviously something they do a lot.

Some people say it depends on your local office, but I have some friends nearby who use the same office for maths trades etc. and they have no problems.

It’s a Christmas gift for my son, but my most recent purchase is Warhammer AoS WarCry Catacombs. Eager to see the new dungeon rules, and I love the looks of the new Warbands.

Glad to be of assistance

I blame more Google… but yeah, thanks!

I recently picked up In the Hall of the Mountain King, Irish Gauge, and War Chest. I’ve played War Chest a few times now and it’s excellent, it’s right in between chess and checkers for pace and more fun than either. I’m really looking forward to checking out the other two as wel.

If I’m going to be in lockdown, I’m going to need some backup.

Ooh, now that’s a game I haven’t run as a PBF for a while!

Oh god, I’ve had a deluge. Due to a culmination of various events…

Pandemic Legacy Season Zero - A preorder from ages ago
Troyes Dice - Bundled with the above
Pax Pamir 2nd Edition - Kickstarter from ages ago
Iwari Deluxe - Bought from the Facebook group

(Plus 98 pots of paint, and 4 jumpers)

All arrived yesterday. WELCOME TO SOLITARY CONFINEMENT (/LOCKDOWN)

If anyone needs me, I’ll be smearing metallic paint over my face in a lovely warm Fairisle jumper. Please do not judge me.

PS I am officially at the stage where there’s not even enough room in my Kallax for a small box. I’ve cleared an extra shelf on the bookcase… that is now over half boardgames.

A cull will have to happen soon!

…I’m tempted to buy a small Kallax for the study. This would be a watershed moment.

As long as it’s not the bursting charge under a pot of powder paint…

Mine’s just arrived too

Such a nice problem to have…

My copy of Brass: Lancashire arrived. And it was a delight to punch it, bag it, all nicely presented, very, very slick.

After reading about it on a couple of blog posts I got Skulls of Sedlec as a PnP.

I then found out Sedlec Ossuary is a real place and is pretty macabre/fascinating.

Went there when on holiday in Prague in (I think) 1993. Paid a very small fee and then just wandered round … definitely a macabre place!

Mine too. Nearly forgot I bought the coins which were loose in the box and tossed them in recycling.

I remember that place. So many bones. Apparently now permanently closed, according to Google Maps.

I think that may just be the usual incompetence of Google Maps. “Closed until further notice” is what they say on the web site.

Got them for a good deal.

Casa Grande - I like games where you build vertically like Taluva, Tikal, Torres, etc

Im the Boss! The Card Game - by Sid Sackson. I’m looking for the board game one, but I’ll try the card game.

Pueblo - a Kramer & Kiesling game (seeing K&K on a box is pretty much like seeing Knizia on the box for me). It’s also a 3D building game like Casa Grande

Orongo - something something Knizia

Reef Encounter - been in my wishlist for a while. Made by the designer of Keyflower.

Locomotive Werks - one of Queen Games’ train games. Well received by my Geekbuddies.

I picked up a copy of Super-Skill Pinball: 4-Cade after a wave of good reviews. I was trying to hold off on purchases, but I had to get it when I saw the box. It is an absolutely perfect shape and size, and I just enjoy holding it in my hands.

…I’m weird, aren’t I?

Not at all, there is something sensational about sizes of boxes. If I had seen the size of Brass Lancashire before, I would have bought it earlier.
