It’s quite a complicated teach. I wouldn’t recommend klunding it.

Aight. I’m caught up on Zimbabwe and ready to play. While the rules are shorter, it seems easier to make some huge mistakes than Indonesia, we’ll see!

I signed up for and just received access to the Magical Athlete playtesting for CMYK. Not sure if it’s allowed exactly, but gauging interest in play-by-post
Tabletop Simulator may be an option in the future, but that is not async, per se

And I’m game for another round of Harvest. First game, I felt that 1e was much better than (this) 2e, but on rereading the rules, most of the things I thought were different are actually the same. What is different:
- 1e has zanier/bigger farmer abilities
- 1e has crops, points, and currency all in the same item (crops) while this breaks them out in to points track, seeds, and literal coins. I do like the old, unified way where you are deciding where and how to invest your points to try to make more points later.
- 1e has 2 workers, 6 rounds, and fewer action spaces. 2e has 3 workers, 4 rounds, and a bigger board. Both work out to 12 actions. I like how 1e is more of a fight, but with more rounds, the spaces clear faster and the contest for first player is more frequent and meaningful.
That said, the two in the end aren’t that different. You still have 12 actions to break the game and make too many points, and the constant mix of basic actions with action/resource bonuses gives a lot of interesting and satisfying decisions.
