@yashima what is your vote?
Yes. I mean I nominated the Tea Lady.
Thatâs a No then.
Any other nominations?
None from me
Not here. Still cluelessâŚ
Nope (insert filler text)
I am going to take the lack of votes as proof there are no more nominations.
@yashima will be lynched (maybe?) In 3 hoursâŚ
Yashima sighs. âWell, then. I suppose⌠it is time.â
She marches over to the guillotine. The town seems to have a fondness for beheading. Twice if necessary. She waves off the townsfolk who want to assist her.
âI have a bad feeling about this,â she murmurs. âA very bad feeling.â
She stops walking and looks around helplessly. For a moment she stares at the dead body of @pillbox. âI am so sorry I couldnât help you. I couldnât figure out a way to save you.â Then she takes another step forward toward the wooden construction where the blade high up suddenly catches the light as a cloud moves away from the sun. Someone sneezes.
It looks as though Yashima is being made to kneel by some unseen force, her fine dress stained with dirt and dusty flakes of blood from previous executions.
âI donât want to go.â A single tear rolls down her cheek.
The silence in the townsquare is absolute. The tea lady, the minstrel, the exorcist, the pacifist and the ghost of the professor watch, as Yashimaâs hand is slowly pulled up towards the rope that holds the falling blade. Then she pulls.
The townsfolk gasp as one as her head is separated from her body and rolls away, coming only to a stop at the feet of the tea lady, dead eyes staring up accusingly.
A sharp wind blows across the square in that moment, and distracted as they all were, nobody really notices the black cloud separating from the body. It rises up and there is a moaning sound, a creaking as if something is breaking. âSo hungry⌠so hungry⌠want to eat. Want to eat the everyoooonnnneâŚâ
The black cloud floats toward the remaining townsfolk but just as it tries to envelope the exorcist it dissipates with a final sigh.
It is over.
Storyteller Notes
You lucky, lucky bstrds.
Okay, I want a full recounting of what happened here.
This is truly uncanny. Yashima and I were found out way too early.
I was the Assassin and held off on using my Assassin power 1 night too long, since I had no idea what Yashima was doing.
This meta of not whispering makes this game very difficult
Yeah I think the fear of whispering is too much but the townsfolk I thought in this games set have a lot less need to whisper and save/hide/protect roles.
That random coincidence of picking the right person to exorcise that set off all the speculation of why were there no demon kills etc. really did make the game I think. I was suspicious of yashima because of that then everything about the roles claimed and when just seemed a little too cagey but I wasnât sure so I kept trying to poke a little here and there and that finally led to the slip up of character vs player in describing the roles the convinced me it had to be a bluff and I could call it.
I love the deduction part of the social deduction game.
So⌠Why did nobody die on the second night? Did @yashima try to kill me and I was protected by @Brattyjedi ?
Thatâd be my guess.
Seeing as how I have played this game twice now and was the demon both times⌠I am hesitating to give any insights into my thought processes. But no I didnât try to eat the Exorcist that night.
Well now Iâm even more curious!
Did anybody make her drunk?
If everyone told the truth about their roles, the minstrel could make everyone drunk after we executed the minion (so not the night in question) and no one else had an ability to do so I think. If someone was lying about their role now might be a nice time to set us all straight!
For all that I didnt read the Courtier role right, which totally could have happened to me as a player, too, but where I might have been corrected by the GMâŚ. In any case, you may all want to take another look at the different demons in this scenario and guess for yourself why there might be nights where the demon ate nobody.
Hint: itâs a very hungry demon when breaking their fast.
