( ninja’d )
And now I’m multicolored! I’m special!
Well, we don’t have to execute someone, but nevertheless I’d like to nominate someone as it might help us get some info.
Therefore, I nominate the person who whispered most.
The earth pivots a little and the sun does not yet set.
@najim has used their nomination for today to nominate @Captbnut.
Please refrain from voting at the moment to allow @Captbnut time to state their case. We are not animals after all.
Once @Captbnut has stated their defence then please feel free to discuss the nomination before voting and when you cast your vote please put it in bold to distinguish it from hypothetical voting discussion. (Unless anyone has any objections to this voting approach).
If the vote tally Equals or exceeds half of the living player count (4 or greater) then the motion carries unless someone else is nominated and receives more votes.
My case is that I have openly (and perhaps stupidly) revealed my role, I am townsfolk.
There are people who know this to be true and I hope they will support my case.
I think we have too little information at this point.
- there is a decent enough chance we have a drunk and neither have we eliminated the poisoner as a possibility so what information we have may not be accurate.
- I am not willing to execute someone for information gathering purposes… at least not right now
- We have only two roles that have or claim to have any information about others identities. if either of them is the demon it seems to me the other is the most dangerous to them at this point in the game why should we do the demons work?
PS: you can always recognize when I type on my tablet in that the typos become more egregious.
And with those stirring words the voting on the execution of @CaptBnut is open.
Wise words, I hope the others are as sensible as you
I have a discussion point to add as well.
The following contains a spoiler for the book/film, The Silence of The Lambs.
I want to talk about the whisper map in a different way.
James Gumb coveted what was important to him. His first kill, was the one he saw everyday. It was personal. It was the only body he weighted down. Although it was the first kill, it was the third body discovered. He wanted to disguise what it was.
I think our maps a bit like that. @Captbnut 's first two way conversation was very involved, and was made up of lots of whispers.
After that, a whole stream of whispers, turning the map into a spiders web, trying to hide what was important.
Then @COMaestro revealed his role, and suggested the Cap was untrustworthy. Suddenly, the response it to declare that I’m on team good. Why me? Is it to drive a wedge between me and the maestro, or build trust with me?
Then it gets weird. Why not reveal both players you’ve checked as the fortune teller?
It’s off. And it’s off enough to make me suspicious.
(2nd instinct is @yashima and @pillbox, but as @yashima is against stringing someone up, this seems less likely.)
It’s a good story.
The reason not to reveal both ‘good’ players is that if I’m not going to sacrifice my team by identifying them to the imp to save my own skin.
I feel as though we know too little to make take any drastic moves. As awful as the reality is, I believe we will get a much clearer picture based on what happens this evening.
Okay, hold on.
The Fortune Teller looks at two people in the night and if one of them is the Imp (or the one townsfolk that registers as Imp to the Fortune Teller), they learn that information, and that’s it.
The Imp already knows who its minion is, therefore everyone else in the game is on the side of good.
The Fortune Teller cannot, therefore, sacrifice anyone good to the Imp, because he does not learn a townfolks (or Outsiders) role with his ability, just whether they are Demon or not. There is no reason not to say which two people he scanned with his ability publicly if neither read as the Demon.
This is fishy as all ****.
So I am new to this game, but I presume it goes like this
- we don’t vote for someone, and someone dies
- we do vote for someone, then they die, then someone else dies
- we get lucky and vote for and kill the demon
Hmmm - I am with @yashima - I don’t think we have enough info yet
So it’s a no vote from me just now .
So because I am going to go offline for tonight.
As stated above, I vote
No
Well I’m clearly voting No
To keep track so far:
Player/Nominated/nomination/latest vote
@pillbox /no/no/yet to vote
@yashima /no/no/no
@COMaestro /no/no/yet to vote
@Captbnut /no/yes/no
@RossM /no/no/yet to vote
@Najim /Yes/no/yet to vote
@DJCT /no/no/no
@Whistle_Pig /no/no/yet to vote
Note: Even though two more votes will mean @captbnut is safe during the day today I would prefer to keep voting going to better reflect the game irl.
In the matter of Town v Captbnut, I vote No
I do vote yes
