Blood on the clocktower PBF

I feel like this is a clever bluff by an evil player to guarantee no matter what happens later today, RossM cannot be nominated again

I mean it’s not that clever. I am, after all, definitely nominated.

:ghost: @RossM why did you get @COMaestro to tell me your role, instead of doing it directly? :ghost:

I vote yes.

I think this is a bluff and I am calling it.

Ps I would have said so last night but we had an online whisky tasting in which I semi participated and I didn’t want to vote under the influence.

Great question.

  1. I trusted @COMaestro, especially after their death. I didn’t want to have people declaring me of whispering to lots of people and scheming. As @Captbnut agreed, neither of us can think of a way @COMaestro can be evil. So I’m happy to declare I’ve only whispered to one player, and they are good.

  2. An additional test. I asked @COMaestro to whisper to you, because when I publicly declared my role I wanted to make sure @COMaestro had passed on the message as intended and had not ā€˜altered’ it to help team evil.

The more you argue how your whisper pattern exonerates you, the more suspicious I become.
There are three people at this table who had no idea what a whispermap was until this game started. And then the first actions in the game were a lot of whispering. What were we supposed to think?

For all I know the minion is (or was?) the Poisoner or the Scarlet Woman. How much would they even need to communicate with the Imp?

(Note: I am still undecided whether it is @Captbnut or @RossM who is Team Evil, this is not a ringing endorsement of @Captbnut. Just saying.)

Actually, it might be worth avoiding this doubt in the future. If whenever we whisper to anyone, we also include @Najim we can guarantee no evil scheming can occur. The rule of three!

Oh. I’m not saying that whispering is bad, I’m only pointing out the only person I’ve whispered with is good.

My first whisper, the first of the game, was to tell @COMaestro what my role was. If I was the poisoner or the scarlet woman that would be a huge risk as I would have no idea what the other roles were.

So you are saying you are the Spy?

No,

I’m the monk. But what I’m trying to convey is all possible combinations,
and answer specific questions.

Besides, If I was the spy I would definitely have whispered to my teammate at least once, to tell them everyone’s roles.

Edit -

If I was the spy, then you @comaestro couldn’t be the spy as well, which means that you would definitely be good because you were killed by accusing @Najim Which means that if I was the spy then I’ve only whispered to a good player.

Tldr. Neither @COMaestro or myself are the spy

Could I ask that if any ghosts have any possible intention to vote they PM me so that I ensure they have the opportunity (I won’t hold this as a commitment).

I am so confused.

My thinking goes: I would rather be played by a trickster and lose than kill a fellow townsfolk by trying to win.

I vote no

I can’t shake the feeling that this is a double bluff.

But there’s just not enough to go on. I vote No and desperately hope I’m not making a huge mistake.

:ghost:I only get one vote for the rest of the game, right? It looks as though, after @Captbnut chickening out, then it wouldn’t be decisive … so I guess I won’t!

It’s either @RossM or @yashima for reasons set out above …

We require 3 votes for the execution to carry.

We still need a vote from @RossM and @Najim.

Slightly shocked @Najim, I won’t lie.

Forgot to say I vote No

:ghost: Poisoner does want to communicate with the Imp, because it sucks to pick out a target to poison, only to have them be the Imp’s victim in the night. This can easily be one way communication though, and from either side.

I feel like the townsfolk have a real lack of informational roles this round. My ability only reads my living neighbors, which can take a while to change (though I am dead, so it’s moot), a claimed Ravenskeeper, who only gets info if they are killed in the night, and a claimed Fortune Teller, who is probably our best chance of getting info, but started off really shifty so is hard to trust.

I will say that @RossM communicated with me pretty early that he was the Monk. In fact, he was the first person to whisper to anyone. Such confidence in claiming a role suggests Monk, Imp, or Spy.

Really, at this point I am suspicious of anyone who has claimed a role that discourages killing by the Imp. This would be Soldier and Ravenskeeper. But I also know that evil is probably going to win if we do not execute the Imp or Minion this turn. :ghost:

But the fact I’ve only communicated with you means it highly unlikely I’m a spy as well.
