So is @pillbox the only person to have not claimed a role now?
I am prepared to reveal, but didnāt want to interrupt Ross
Protecting pill box.
Night one I promised to protect @COMaestro , but he died. So I had to protect someone, and reasoned someone keeping quiet probably would be useful later in the game.
Day two, I had to protect someone and I used the above whisper map to pick someone I didnāt suspect of being evil picking @Najim seemed pointless as we already had concrete information on them, so I picked pillbox again.
The longer this game has gone on, the more Iāve suspected Iāve been playing my role incorrectly.
Iām the Ravenkeeper. Early on in the game, I was hoping to be targeted (at random) by the Imp so that we could learn some concrete information about at least one person.
As the game has progressed, and weāve only (almost by definition) lost Good players, I realize now that my best play is to now use my role to keep me alive. Unless, of course, we have a Poisoner, in which a small amount of coordination would mean the Imp and Poisoner could add further misinformation into the mix.
Both @RossMās claim of Monk and @pillboxās claim of Ravenkeeper match with things they whispered to me previously. Not that I know they are being truthful about that, but at least they are consistent.
it also matches what they have told me
Omg. Iāve protected the one person who wanted to be killed!
Ha!
Okay, so weāve got:
player | role | status |
---|---|---|
@pillbox | Ravenkeeper | Alive |
@yashima | Undertaker | Alive |
@COMaestro | Empath | Dead |
@Captbnut | Fortune Teller | Alive |
@RossM | Monk | Alive |
@Najim | Virgin* | Alive |
@DJCT | Slayer | Dead |
@Whistle_Pig | Mayor | Dead |
*role confirmed
It is reasonable to believe the people slain by the Imp are who they say they are, so Slayer and Mayor roles are probably legit or Drunk.
There is nothing to prove that I am the Empath and not a Spy, but I believe my actions so far support my claim. If I were a Spy, there is no guarantee that the Storyteller would have me die when accusing the Virgin, which means doing so could have resulted in more suspicion on me, at least for @Najim, when I didnāt die. Additionally, I would have known he was the Virgin, so there would have been no reason for me to accuse unless I was trying to protect @Captbnut after he was slated for execution which would only make sense if he was the Imp. But then, why would I have put suspicion on him in the first place by claiming Empath with an evil neighbor? Why would I have voted for his execution? These actions make no sense if Cap is the Imp and I am the Spy. Especially when as a Spy with no Washerwoman role in the game, I could establish my bona fides by whispering to two people and correctly identify one of their roles, making one likely to believe me? So no, it makes no sense for me to be the Spy.
More later.
@yashima has claimed a role to me in a whisper and it was not the undertaker, although I donāt believe she has claimed to be the undertaker in public.
Whispers to @Captbnut
@Captbnut whispers back
@COMaestro whispers to @Captbnut once more.
I feel like you are talking behind my back.
@Captbnut whispers to @COMaestro
This is no improvement!
Whispers to @Captbnut.
Nonsense, @yashima. You are behind my back, as I am facing my neighbor to the other side from you. Unless you are turned to pillbox, that is.
I am honing in on @yashima and @RossM, and maybe some of the others ā¦
@yashima cos she is looking a bit shifty, and @RossM cos he is the instigator of most chat and accusation
Unfair, maybe, but itās not you thatās lying at the foot of the clock tower with your blood despoiling the snowdrops while your poor mam waits anxiously for your returnā¦
@Captbnut whispers back to @COMaestro
So I am shifty.
I claimed to be the Undertaker by announcing that @COMaestro was the Empath after he self-executed. It was actually a tip from Comaestro that I claim to be something elseā¦ at that moment the Undertaker seemed like a good enough bluff to possibly get the demon to attack me which is the only way for the soldier to actually shine by preventing a death in the night.
This was after I had told @Captbnut and @Pillbox I was the soldier. Because I kind of changed my strategy mid-game, I thought it would be better to keep those things in whispersāexactly to prevent accusations of being shifty. That worked out well, it seems.
To me both @Captbnut and @RossM haveāeach in their own wayāacted in ways that make me suspect them. I didnāt think they are a team, that would have been risky to pull off with those close votes on both nominationsā¦ but then Captain surprised me by pulling back his announced nomination of Ross yesterday (in game termsā¦)
Also, I am asking myself: if @Captbnut is not on team Imp, why is he still alive spewing accusations at whoever seems to be the best patsy in that round.
