The crowd gathered and over the deafening jeers G.B. Chandler could barely think of anything except the day it all started.
The phone rang in the office, the loud repetition of it’s monotonous tone cut through his dream like a serrated knife through a wedding cake. This city was killing him. He could barely remember the last time he slept when it wasn’t the memory of her interrupting his dreams. In hindsight he supposed that’s why he took the assignment. Not many Pinkertons went beyond the city limits but “supernatural” occurrences in a small town sounded like the holiday he needed to get that damn broad out of his head. He laughed so loud now at that naivety that it made him sick.
As they hauled him up the steps and slipped the rope around his neck he wondered had he gave up, had he wished this on himself, had his love for the booze or the dame got in the way of his investigation.
At least, as he felt the rope tighten, if nothing else he could say he reported the damn facts as they were presented.
Darkness came in waves washing over him and as it receded it clawed the air from his lungs. And you know what? That was OK because deep in his heart he knew that if she didn’t love him then why was he there on their god damn wedding day, and as the deepest waves of darkness lashed against his shore, swinging him back and forth, he knew that it may not have been an eventful life but he could die knowing in the end he was good.

Okay, while I am somewhat curious what @GabrielH detected in the night, at this point I don’t think his information is reliable, whether the reason is nefarious or benign remains to be seen.
That said, while I am still not sure who the Imp is, I feel we should Exile @pillbox. I do not like the idea of one player having enough votes on their own to execute somebody, even if that somebody were me.
wait… wait… if I could die after all, then what was all that business with the verdigris and whale marrow for?
Is it possible I squandered my mortal existence?
On the plus side… dead men don’t need to shower. Actually that’s very little change now I think about it.
Aside from anything else I feel… huge relief.

I feel killing our recluse is a mistake for team evil. It closes up a lot of options. Who were the two players detected in turn 1 as a possible scarlet woman?
Well. This is awkward.
I think the fact we had a confirmed good player with extra power is why @Lordof1 is no more. Opens the possibility for @pillbox to pick an evil player to give the voting rights to.
That is only true if you are on the Good team. You could be Evil. We have no way of knowing except for our Empath, who I have already stated I do not trust his readings, plus either I would need to die, or both @Najim and @Assussanni just to get you next to him, so you will excuse me if I do not find that option appealing.
I can’t imagine showing my alignment any better than I already have. I chose Lordof1 twice due to the general acceptance of his goodness. And, as the result of a suggestion by RossM, I have chosen a recipient that cannot leverage the power.
Tomorrow is a critical day and it may be crucial to give good as many votes as possible; surely if I am not exiled, we will need to decide whom to bestow that power to… But doing that alone may reveal the sinister motives of the evil team.
Keeping me around makes it harder for evil to stay hidden.

Refresh me with the rules, if Ross has used his vote, is not like he gets two votes now instead of three, it is a wasted power, isn’t it?
FWIW, I think Pillbox is legit. After all, Lordof1 is dead, you can’t get more good than that! Speaking of dead…
We do seem to have gotten the second minion dead. Both @COMaestro and @Najim register good, so my power is entirely consistent in the assertion that GeeBizzle was evil.
The only people alive now are COMaestro, Najim, Assussanni, and myself. And Pillbox, but regardless of his alignment, he definitely isn’t the Imp. I think that leaves a pretty clear identification of who’s evil. The only question is, if it were that simple, why am I still alive? But perhaps the fact that that question is asked is its own answer.

Of course, there’s also the darker timeline, in which COMaestro and Najim are the Imp and the Poisoner, and I’ve completely been had. But I’d rather not think about that.
