Not another evil player
Welcome to our town @pillbox, which is perfectly normal and where nothing bad ever happens. If you’ll kindly ignore the blood over there. And those gallows.
I like to imagine that if this were in person we all closed our eyes and when we open them pillbox is sat in the group as if it’s been like this all along.
@RogerBW Where is pillbox in the seating order? Or do they get to choose their own seat (either by the rules or because you are a gracious host)?
Telling a visitor where they must sit sounds the height of bureaucracy!
Between KIR2 and Whistle_Pig (RIP). So the full set of players is now

@GabrielH what are you pinging???
Hands @pillbox a whale tallow candle.
I’m assuming that @RogerBW will need to announce the three vote individual as they announce their first yes vote that day?
Thanks for the welcome! I heard about a town that murdered one of their own immediately following the suspicious death of a storyteller-type, only to reveal the following night that no one else would mysteriously die the following night.
It certainly felt like a town that could use the services of a Bureaucrat, Grade 37

“Uh. Thanks.”
That is correct.
As this towns newly appointed Bureaucrat, I am enabling the votes of @Lordof1 to be of larger weight in any upcoming votes. This is due, mostly, to the generous gift that was offered and of which my Bureaucratic policies do not allow me to accept.
Note: This elevation of Lordof1’s power is not a privilege offered in exchange for physical goods or services.
The body of the librarian was discovered in the Philosophy and Psychology > Parapsychology And Occultism > Demonology section of the town library (133.42), lying in a pool of blood. The cause of death seemed to be a paper cut to the carotid artery. One of the townsfolk, eyeing the bookshelves nervously, speculated that perhaps it had just been a tragic cataloguing accident…
murmurs in foul-smelling surprise
I’d like to remind the bureaucrat that voting privileges can only be assigned at night. You have arrived in the day. Respect the red tape.
(Ahh, I’m not sure. I think there may have been a PBF timing issue that allowed me to consume a bit too much of the game state before deciding. I’ll leave it to @RogerBW to make the call)
Dawn! The beginning of the day!
Arriving - present tense, after dawn. It’s daytime.
Privileges assigned following, and by open admission made directly in response to, actions made during the same day.
I rest my case, m’lord.
Got any book recommendations while you’re lying about?
The Exorcist is supposed to be quite good
I believe I would actually prefer if my ability were not immediately active. I had to choose (and I tried to choose blindly, the gift offered literally was not a factor in my decision), so I opted for Lordof1 because they have consistently held the rest of the town at arms-length. So, they are either evil and doing a good job at isolating themselves from the rest of their team, or they are good and doing a good job of assessing the situation and voting accordingly.
That said, I am accepting recommendations for whom I should target this coming evening. An additional 2 votes is not as vital today as it will be tomorrow, or the day after. It will be necessary to identify trustworthy villagers going forward; and if not, it will be important to exile me (which sounds like less fun)
@djct whispers to @GeeBizzle
Note that bonus votes do not apply to votes-to-exile.
