I have only heard of the game but not played it. What is it like?
I’ve only played it once due to lack of availability but I really loved it. The market wheel is genius and it has one of my favourite things - the players control the end of the game.
It’s a low direct interaction euro but there’s plenty of jostling for position.
I expect that UK shipping issues will kill my desire to get it.
I think it’s on board game arena.
It’s a building game where you need bits to make buildings but if you wait longer the better materials get cheaper but if you wait too long the pieces will go away.
Yes! Apparently Final Girl has
a) Another two-card medium result on the dice, making it 1/6 more forgiving than Hostage Negotiator
b) A physical map to walk around
And a few other things, but it’s very much based on / 50% the same system.
It wasn’t anticipated by full throttle by Friedman friese looks a real laugh after watching them play on gamenight.
Looks like there’s a new version of Ra coming with Ian O’Toole artwork.
Yep, supposedly next year. I am subscribed to a thread on BGG, where one of the publisher employees keeps giving the answer of “soon” to questions regarding release date info.
Edit: Oooh, box art released!
Edit 2: The Edit Strikes Back: and of course I did not notice your link also showed the box art!
If they can make this an eagle gryphon sized box I may be very tempted.
I have a sickness, clearly.
Agricola sized please
I’d definitely like a nice new shiny Ra
Apparently my copy of The Great Zimbabwe has reached UK customs
- Obsession should have been arriving in the UK about a week ago. I have a pre-order with boardgameguru which… should work? Haven’t heard anything since July.
Kickstarter is being slow:
- The Nemo’s War big box is officially on a boat.
- Canvas 2 is on a boat and EU addresses are locked from tomorrow.
- Forests of Pangaia should be going into production asap (although it’ll probably be June 22 before it arrives)
Boardgameguru answered my email almost immediately and confirmed that I should recieve Obsession mid- next week! Excitement!
I wish this looked better.
Found out that my copy of The Great Zimbabwe is still languishing in customs… So the anticipation continues!
Is it finally good to go? I heard many good things about it. Definitely going to check out a campaign.
And then today got another email to say it was being dispatched! It may even arrive on Monday if I’m lucky
Yes. I got this through an email from the publisher.
Can someone please tell me not to anticipate this new edition of 51st State?
I haven’t played the game and gave away Imperial Settlers years ago because my partner hated playing it so much–I don’t even remember clearly whether the game had take that elements but I remember him being a bit mad at me about the game. The solo mode of Imperial Settlers didn’t really grab me and so it went…
My bgg buddy analysis suggests that some people really really like this game and some are meh…
