Oh I dunno, you won’t be bored at least…
“It’s possible, on reflection, that having ping pong balls hurled at them whilst being shouted at in Shakespearean is not for everyone”
That sounds like an Edinburgh Fringe sort of thing.
(Thinking someone might be an unwitting alien agent.)
“What is the Sung for ‘stand on your bed and dance like a chicken’?”
“What if it’s Grover with a flame-thrower?”
"I put a pen and pad by the bed so that if if an important thought woke me up in the night, I could write it down.
“It happened last night, and this morning I found that I’d written: ‘Do the thing.’.”
“Zhu Li! Do the thing!”
“Touch the puppet head “?
“It’s a normal family tree, right? I mean, not a straight line or a loop?”
“Or a Möbius strip?”
Back in the early days of Facebook when it was fun (and mostly memes) I joined a group called
“Can this Möbius Strip get more fans than itself?”
I looked up those lyrics, and I don’t have much idea what that song is about. I see why you referenced it, though! I guess “Put your hand inside the puppet head” means taking control…
“L likes the tip, but E prefers the… you know what? I’m not sure we can talk about asparagus preferences out loud.”
“You can only Boud once.”
(Imperium, after Boudicca goes into hustory.)
I love this lady. Forgotten by history (at least in US schools) but a superstar of historical board and video games.
Boud games.
Certainly when I was at school (UK 1970s-1980s) “doing” the Romans in Britain included Boudicca as standard. At that point many textbooks used the older standard “Boadicea”.
Makes a lot of sense. I imagine you all are scant on Sacagawea and Molly Pitcher on that side of the pond.
Forgotten? Really? I mean, I can understand why US schools wouldn’t teach about her, because why would they teach about Roman Britain, I suppose, but we definitely got taught about her at school.
