Oh I was not aware of that! How cool, thank you.
I haven’t played that game as much as it deserves.
And now I am off to conquer England… my partner and I both started playing AC: Valhalla now that we finally have the PS5. We both have our own game though. Just one console. He played the whole series, I watched him play for most of it. So for me this is the first AC game. For some reason I want to be a Viking
with a bow and an axe.
Do a DNA test! DO IT!

My seven year old has been asking me to get Cuphead for a while; I’d balked because of its difficulty and I was worried about tantrums and thrown Xbox controllers (also I was worried my son might get frustrated too).
Anyway, I bought it and we’ve been having a really fun time. Yes, it’s very hard but goodness we’ve been having fun trying. The art is gorgeous and the gameplay is very satisfying, even for a jaded old sack of shredded nerves and dulled reflexes such as me.
Oh my goodness. Well I guess I’ll never be best dad ever without getting it.
Meh I mean statistically I’m probably not. Might as well not bother.
After 5 years of board gaming, I decide to commit on more video gaming (outside of Stellaris and Among Us).
Cuphead was my first. Only played it for 3 hours so far and it is one of the most satisfying games Ive played. The boss fights are so fun and playful. When they pull off new tricks and I end up dying at that, I just laugh because the bosses are so dangerous and so lively with their moves.
Agreed, it’s not nearly as frustrating as I thought. Well, not at the moment. It’ll get that way when I actually try to get anywhere but right now it’s charming and very playable.
I like lists! I have built enough that I am pretty much good for 3 years or so.
The advantage of catching up is that I can pick and choose what I want to play thanks to people’s hindsight.
Any suggestions would be welcome and considered. At the moment: I only play on PC, Switch, and 3DS.
I was going to say that every review I’ve seen of it says " You will ragequit many times" because it’s very difficult, but then I saw you have Sekiro / Dark Souls on there too
(I’ve played Ori and liked it)
Do the Goose Game!
Slipways is on my steam list to check out.
A really solid list of some pretty wonderful games.
This being said… Inside! I love this game with a passion. It’s pretty short and as a regular member of the cult of the new, is one of the few games I have went back to multiple times after completing. The game play and puzzles are solid if not overly taxing but the graphics, world and story is great if a bit of a head scratcher.
Couple of rabbit holes there. From your list I definitely recommend Red Dead Redemption 2, and M&B Warband. For this one particularly some mods are really fun.
But if you play Stellaris… have you not considered trying Crusader Kings (2 or 3)??
I have played CK2 a lot back then. But yeah, CK3 is missing on the list. Good spot
Into the Breach is highly recommended. Love it.
I added Lolly to my kiddos Animal Crossing Island Birdisland. I had gotten a Lolly plush at FLGS that also carried video game merch. My oldest claimed lolly for himself, they go on many an adventure.
He hasn’t been super into it since Mario party, But he really tries to read the animal’s dialogue and now I’m crossing so I want to encourage him more if I can.
Yes I did pay on eBay for Lolly amiibo card. She was my favorite before I saw Clay.
He was happy
I’ve been diving back into the roguelike Angband lately. Boy it’s changed a fair bit since I last played it (possibly like 7-8 years ago though - so fair enough)
I currently have a promising lvl 30 Dwarven Paladin. So far he’s got some good gear but has received a disproportionate number of artifact weapons compared to other equipment though. And still the artifact rapier I found yonks ago has been the best pick.
And I’ve been playing a bit of Darkest Dungeon as well. Such a great game, am super excited for the sequel (though I’m unsure if I’ll play during the beta or try and wait so it’s all fresh at the full release).
I have a copy of Angband 3.3.2 on my PC, which is around the latest version before it changed beyond my recognition.
But then, I think I started with an old Moria on the Mac…
And there’s a healthy lvl 40 Dwarven Paladin done and dusted - Ancient dragons are nasty!
