My bird nark picked up Mistle Thrush, Goldcrest, Wren, Robin and Chaffinch (all from the same bench).
I’ve just got the Merlin app for the first time, and apparently the two big showings every morning near my place in Crystal Palace are Robin and Wren. Definitely going to try that app out and about.

This is the former track bed of the railway that ran from Bourne End to High Wycombe, until Beeching. I regret its loss, of course, but had it still been running I wouldn’t have been able to afford to move here because it wouldn’t be three miles to the nearest station.
I saw another coyote a few days ago. It was at a highway onramp. It watched a couple cars pass by, then looked both ways, and dashed across.

On the one hand there are lots of places round here that show up in films and TV because it’s conveniently close to the Pinewood studios—Turville - Wikipedia for example.
On the other, there’s no wheeled vehicle access and it’s a fairly steep slope.
